He needs to explain why the county did not investigate what they knew was not a hit and run -- they could have asked SLED for help in a murder investigation. I'm from South Africa and obviously I've only heard about this recently, however, after watching, hearing about this family I am convinced that the Mudaughs were involved. Ann innocent young man lost his life in a brutal way. Seems like law enforcement also just turned a blind eye when it comes to this mafia family. Everyone is saying, as well as autopsy shows that it's not a hit an run.

Duffie Stone was Solicitor of Hampton County in 2015. He needs to explain why the county did not investigate what they knew was not a hit and run -- they could have asked SLED for help in a murder investigation. Sandy Smith saw Randy and Alex Murdaugh on scene the morning the body was taken away to ME office. Randy has lied before about how he insinuated himself into the case very early on, and now he has lawyered up. This is one for sure who needs to be questioned under oath by a Grand Jury. Did the Murdaughs just want legal business, or were they attempting to obstruct justice to protect someone they knew?

Nobody is above the law including law enforcement, etc. Everyone who may have information, and people in LE who were at the scene, and were involved directly or indirectly with Stephen's case should have cellphone and vehicle forensics checked to see where they were when Stephen died, the morning after, etc. Including Randy and Alex.
At the moment it sounds like there was allegedly a "gentlemans" agreement to hush up and brush Stephen's death under the carpet - allegedly. There seems to be alot of people with power, pulling strings. It is disgusting that Sandy, Stephen's mother had to somehow raise money to try to get to the bottom of what happened to her son Stephen all these years later. Without raising capital to exhume Stephen and hire experts to reinvestigate, would anything have really changed?
