Hey Sean , I went there as a kid with a sister and her boyfriend. I think it was in the 70' s. It was so smelly and bry glass everywhere, ya had to be very careful. Then later I heard some scary shit about that place. I never jumped ! Thanks for sharing. 👍
Me too. We grew up in Quincy center and never went up to the quarries after hearing some graphic vivid details of kids getting hurt or even dying up there. Playing hockey was safer.
I grew up right nextdoor to foreriver bridge shipyard so we had our own jumping spot but we'd always go to the quarries too, some 100+ feet spots, early 1970's, those days no cops ever came there. I miss those days.
Oh the nostalgia! Great content my guy. You've inspired me for sure. I'm currently looking for a short schoolie to start building. Hopefully be on the road by this time next year
@tigerbear1429 watching one of my friends break his back jumping the 'heaven' takes it for me. We had to carry him up the cliffs and out of the quarry. The scariest one that I personally jumped was from 'ships point'. Having to use the post to get enough push and hoping that you cleared the rocks below was always as frightening as scaling the rock wall to get up there. 😉🤙
Maybe people like the graffiti but I hate it. People come and tag rocks, trees, leave their cans and trash on the ground. It’s like a tagged abandoned building in the city, but it’s out in nature. I respect nature and leave no trace. The town has stopped caring, it’s sad.
