Awesome video, pretty sure that vw motor only made around 80hp from the factory, my first car was a caddy before I built my blue beetle. It was a diesel that was blown up, we switch a gas 1.8 out of an early gti but kept the diesel close ratio 4 speed trans, it was a really fun stop light to stop light car.
They'd either be amazed or pissed when I come in with a 3-D Scanner and a printer to make a mold for a carbon fiber stabilizer. Make edits in CAD and do it all over again .

Mike had been running different configuration on this truck from diesel to a turbo VR6. It really neat to see it out there.
