What a lovely vlog, I love walking up Nicky Nook, the views are beautiful from up there, especially on a sunny clear day. Have a lovely weekend 😊

Oh! I love the hare sculpture! Your walks that take you through farms or close to farms make me apprehensive. I think it's just a natural reaction because here in the states you just don't go onto or even near private property. I have a hard time imagining public footpaths through private land and that is really sad.

@@dorothydotson7154 I know what you mean but in this country we already have so little access to our land.... Since the times of enclosure. We are excluded from 92% of our land... Imagine! Thank goodness for public footpaths and rights of ways. Your parks in the States are so big we can only dream about that much space. Farmers here are not allowed to block us if there is a footpath through the property... But some of them don't make it easy whilst others are perfectly friendly. We always try to be respectful.

@@nevermorethan4 Yes, we do have some glorious parks. You have a special situation there that I'm sure some would like to end. I suspect that it will be necessary to fight to keep it.

Another great vlog Francis and H.
Its great that you love the canal that much❤. Nearest access for me is the Hand &Dagger pub at Salwick.
Just a thought on your walks. Have you tried going from Lancaster to Silverdale by train. Getting off at Silverdale or Arnside and walking round and over Arnside Knott. If getting off at Silverdale there used to be a jiffy bus that takes you to Far Arnside Holgates caravan site for a walk round the back of Arnside Knott.
Nice big Art Gallery in Arnside if you catch it open on the right day.
Have you been to Kendal? Thriving art scene there too?

Ah yes we got the train to Silverdale and went to the nature reserve and another time across the golf course to the art weekend in Silverdale. Nice place but haven't gone over the knott 👍. Kendal we love... Especially that fab coffee shop that roasts it's own beans. We have bought tickets for the kendal winter festival.... Can't wait

@@mojobumbles474 ooh I would never call it modest with all that showy scenery... We can't compete with that. And public transport gets to to so many places... Very impressed (especially the 555!)

Floods, floods, floods seems that everywhere is flooding mind you we have had a lot of rain. Loved the telephone box and totally agree on the tea front and walking. I am approaching a walk weekend in Wales and thinking of getting some of them there walking sticks. Which ones are you both using and how are they performing? Thank you for the breath of fresh air.

@@ChobertonJunction there are so many. Henry has Brashers... They were mid price around £30 and he gets on well with them... I can't remember the make of mine but they have a spring in them which makes them excellent for taking pressure off as you walk downhill. Try some out and push down on them to see if they spring or not... Then watch a you tube video how to size them for your body... You dint want them too long or short.... You can make a mark when you get the fit right so you can always unscrew them to the right point easily
