Hey everyone,
Finally got the time to edit and upload my new series, that is ……..*drum roll* MBA DIARIES.
So, as most of you all already know I am currently studying at XLRI Jamshedpur. Though I was recording my life, I was unable to gather the time to actually post a vlog. Believe me guys term 1 of XLRI is too hectic to be comprehended or expressed in words. But that is over (finally) and I passed (not with such flying colors). I won’t say I have a lot of free time right now but I would like to pump out some content.

I had 99.52%ile in XAT, really solid and unique but not totally fantastic performance in BM stress interview (HRM was great but it's 2nd choice). Great acads in X, Grad, but terrible in XII. Workex only for personal business. WAT was good. How strong do you think my chances are? And when did the first merit list come out last year?

BM was stress interview. Answered everything. Solid and unique, quite good actually, but wasn't overtly fantastic.

Hi, can we change the preference later at the time of admission? Or is it possible to switch to BM after 1st year?
After admission no switch is possible.
Can one take up the BM course at XLRI and then choose HR as the specialisation in the next year?? I mean, is the specialisation of HR also available in the 2nd year for BM students??

Does scoring 99.8+ percentile in xat enough to get you in xlri bm ?
You have to clear individual section cut-off

Mam I am confused between offer letter confirmation fees timeline and admission fee timeline. Is admission for all the candidates done after all the list are completed? Can you please provide details explaining the process from offer letter till complete admission. It would clear many of my doubts?
You need to pay a fee for seat booking once you are selected. Then you need to pay the first installment once your loan gets sanctioned/ just before the actual term starts (date will be provided)

i don't have interest in HR field..so it's not necessary to select HRM while filing XAT 2024 form. right ??? (My background is commerce and i want pursue career in finance.
Yes while filling the form, select BM as your preference only instead of HR OR BOTH.

Heyy. How much CAT percentile is sufficient to get into XLRI .. mine profile is like, 96.80% in 10th/87% in 12th..

Firstly you can't get into XLRI with CAT scores, you need to give XAT. and cutoff for HR and BM is different with individual sectional cutoff ( mentioned in their websites)

Why every business school only for cbsc icsc board background students.
JAC board toppers got only 91% in 10th and 85% in 12th not more than 75% in graduation so how could state board students will get any seat in any B-SCHOOL.
It's not about the academic marks but your overall profile. That too has low weightage.

I had 99.6%ile in XAT,but felt like okayish interview in BM and HR. My acads are 8.8/94/6.9 and 8 month workex. Is there any chance for atleast delhi BM?
There have been people who have converted with similar profile, so you can be hopeful.

It's not true. They have weightage for everything but the weightage is very less.

Yes people get 30 lacks ka package bhi . Idk about the lowest in HRM. Must be something 22 ish idk ( have to check stats)

Idk about the admission as it's seen by the admin department and the waitlist moves a lot. Like bm : 100+ and HRM : 200+

Mam are XLRI interviews stress ones ? Because I had my hrm interview on 25 Feb 2023, and they grilled a lot with economics questions and HR course curriculum.... They asked random subject from the course and asked if I've heard about it.. How am I expected to remember names of 130 subjects ?
It depends on the panel. They just want to make you nervous in some way or the other.
I got 96.73% in XAT. Have a call for BM programme. Give me a reality check like is it very hard to break into xlri with this percentile?

If a student cracks an interview for both the courses (BM and HRM) then they can pursue any course, irrespective of what they had chosen for the 1st preference in the application form, right? Eg- If they had chosen BM as their first preference but now want to pursue HRM or vice versa then they could do so right?
