It wasnt that they lost it was how. I told my buddy I probably should prepare for a 24-6 game, but I had hope. But the offense struggles and the defense forgetting how to tackle dimmed that light quickly. However Pop being involved was nice.
New England needs to completely improve their whole Offense. Bringing in players who never shined at LT and just pray to God they are some what decent isn’t enough in todays NFL. They are still 2-3 years away from truly competing.
I agree mayo needs a poker face 😅 but we need to see more drake maye. If the goal is to win, drake maye needs to play. A winning organization plays to win. Also to baby a nfl player is soft and not the way to go. If maye is beating jacoby then he should play. Especially if we plan to upgrade the team next year. He would have experience and can fix mistakes and go over all of that in the off season. On top of that, if he shows promise that can help attract more players to new england. Winners play, losers sit. I don't like all this sissy boy approach. Let maye determine his own success. It's funny how bad the offense looked but he still managed to basically score a touchdown. Being on the bench is vital for the development of a QB. The lack of pressure to be that guy and realize the team can function without them is big. The patriots aren’t winning many games this year. If I had the choice between “Bryce young”ing a QB or letting them sit and come in with a season of NFL experience in the background I’m taking the latter. Patrick mahomes sat out an entire year when he got drafted. Tom Brady sat his entire first year and a majority of his second year. Aaron Rodgers and now Jordan love both sat for multiple years. Throwing QBs to the fire has proven time and time again to have a severe impact on them long term

The only QB I can think of that may have played in the first year and became successful was Peyton Manning, but he even admitted that he wanted to quit. And this was against Bill Belicheck. Bill loved to torture new opposing QBs. However, I do agree with OP that Jerod Mayo needs to be more silent with the media. I can already see opposing coaches lick their chops.
I agree: Brisset is not mobile enough and is ineffective. With a weak O-line, its dangerous to let Maye start. They need to design plays where the ball is out of Mayes hands within 1.5 seconds, or he will get injured. It is best to start Milton, until we fix the O-line. Also, Brisset appears to not be able to take a hit at all. He will soon be knocked out for an extended time.

Draft Will Campbell Next year and we will be a threat in the AFC east. Watch what Maye could do with actual protection. Watch what Jalynn polk and Pop Douglas can do when the QB has time. Also, Rhamondre still a beast give the offense a left tackle and he will be the best RB in the league. TE mix is solid with Henry. As for the defense, too many of our core players are banged up, let them heal this season and come back stronger next year. Next year is the year where we will be in the playoff mix not this year , imo the jets are doing us a favor by helping us get a franchise LT in the draft. Good luck after rodgers jets.
That’s the thing. You’re going to get mistakes with Maye, but you’ll also get major chunk plays and the ball will keep moving downfield. Just not enough offense happening with Jacoby, and Maye is more equipped to deal with the o-line. I’d rather have the risk taker out there.

Drake looked bad at times but did sneak in a few good plays . Jacoby just isn't accurate enough but still seems the better Choice
