they're both good. i expected sitthichai to be able to handle him and use him experience even if he hadn't fought muay thai in a while. the fact that tawanchai is only 22 is crazy though. big career ahead of him. future champ for sure.

@@hatakashi1900 Tawanchai says he wants to go back to featherweight because he struggled to make weight against Saemapetch so he'd take on Petchmorakot instead of Nong-o. but it's still possible that fight happens
Ok, I watched both Tawanchai fights with Saemapetch and Sitthichai. What I can say is that Tawanchai absolutely dominated Saemapetch with his punching power and speed plus his teeps... In his fight with Sitthichai, however, he couldn't dominate the boxing due to Sitthichai's tight high guard, head movement and distance control. Also, because Sitthichai kept pressing forward, that action also took away the lethal Muay Fimeu style Tawanchai is known for. Plus those left kicks to Tawanchais liver in the second round definitely hurt him as he was noticeably slower in the 3rd. If I had to call it, 1st Round - Draw, 2nd Round - Draw, 3rd Round - Sitthichai. The experience was evident and this fight is definitely top tier. 👌 (PS. I'm a Tawanchai fan but he marginally lost this one in all fairness just due to ring control and Sitthichais strong finish in the 3rd)
I'm Thai, I'm not good at English, I want to explain to you that Tawanshine in this fight Had to fight with Saemapetch in the coordinates of 65.8 kg, and Sittichai had to fight with Taifan in the coordinates of 70.3 kg, but on the day of the actual fight, the pair of fights could not fight, so they switched pairs. where Tawanchai gained a weight of 70 kg and Sittichai lost weight to 68 kg. and then maximum walk weigth of both is 75kg.

I had 1st - Draw, 2nd - Sittachi, and 3rd - Sittachi.
I knew Tawanchai was hurt to the body in the 2nd round and the more experienced fighter did too and began to press the fight. He landed quite a few kicks to the liver that even had him showing overt discomfort from the 2nd round on.
This was indeed a masterpiece and masterclass. These guys do everything right. Just amazing.
Very balanced match .. Maybe in the 3rd round Tawanchai was a little more tired and we saw the experience of Sittichai ... A draw or a 5 round match would have been better.
tawanchai wasn't too tired actually every heavy blow from sittichai landed so hard that tawanchai couldn't hold back the pain so heavy on breathing make he exhausted more faster
Making 5 rounds doesn't change anything either, is the different class of fighter, that's why Sittichai is one of the world class fighters
and the fight use muaythai scoring point, so round 1 draw 2 and 3 to sittichai he landed more kick, and knee consistently, especially throw by sittichai in last round is huge point
How was that a draw? Round 2 and 3 were Sittichai no question.
Neither one of these guys were tired or hurt yet. They were both scoring back and forth and Sittichai just seemed to have the lead at the end of 3 rounds. No idea what would happen in 2 more rounds...
Hope they run it back soon in a 5 round championship bout!
Ring control and 3rd round definitely Sitthichai. I would have to say the first two however Tawanchai did more damage both with his kicks and punch combos. The southpaw stance helped Sitthichai but in the future I only see Tawanchai winning as he represents the future of Muy Thai.
The announcer was meat riding Tawanchai hard never mentioned any of Sitthichai's strikes

High level power technique adjustments and tactics in this match by both men. Sittichai definitely deserves the win. I was thinking that 3 rounds isn't enough to determine a clear winner in this match...and 5 rounds may not be enough, either. 7 rounds would do the trick, though. However, Sittichai pleasantly surprised me and got a clear but close W.
Imo we still need 7 rounds for these kinds of supermatches and all world title matches

Made 65.8 kg of weight vs Saemapetch, but the trainer Saemapetch got infected with covids. Suddenly changing pairs, so he agreed to punch 70.3 kg with Sitthachai tawanchai, exhausted by the 3rd lift. 27/07/64

What an excellent fight! Things could've gone either way for most of the match but I agree with the decision as Sitthichai poured on the takedowns and solid blows later. It was a very good tactical match.
Man how strong their shin and legs must have been. Both of them are taking the kicks (which looks very powerful to me) as if nothing 😱😱
They were trained as a kid and I never saw a muaythai fighter getting their shin break.
I was at a muay thai seminar and I stupidly asked one of the thai guest teachers kick me at 75%. I'm 5'11, 210 lbs. I think he probably went 50% into my thigh. I immediately lost feeling in that leg and went down lol. There was a bruise for 2 weeks.

Muay thai kick is like hitting by a baseball bat the boxer maybe tough as nail but both are in the high level so they can make the worst damage if the fight is 5 rounds

nah , from last round you see how all Sitthichai strikes cause serious damage and weaken up Tawanchai's movement during the game, and pushing foward pushed him close to the cage, we wouldn't be able to see it at first, Tawanchai really tough and great tho, but Sitthichai's experence still served him well.
the thing is Tawanchai is still young, and great future ahead

Tawanchai wins 7 minutes of a 9 minute fight but somehow loses on the scorecard
This fight was set up lol, you can clearly see it was just an exhibition. The last round where Sitthichai, just starts throwing Tawanchai around like a rag doll tells you everything.

Actually Tawanchai choose write Tawanchăai. Chai (ชัย) is victory but Chăai (ฉาย) is shine. Tawanchăai is mean 'sun shine'.

We'd need to see the scorecard but I think it was the sweeps and throws in the 3rd that tipped the odds but I imagine the scores were very close

In muay thai pressing forward and being aggressive is a very big factor in scoring though, tawanchai was on his back foot most of the time here
