Great to see Alan Nagao on this list! I got into yo-yos in the '90s when THP came to my elementary school and I went to their classes every week for a good while.
Honestly they could've done a top 10 and still missed so many. Tom Khun, Steve Brown, Andre Boulay, Dennis McBride, Bill Deboisblanc, Black, Paul Escolar, Hiroyuki Suzuki, and so much more.
Hey Yotricks I was wondering if you guys can restock the Skyva, Double Bloop, and Also one more thing I was wondering who is the One Texting... Is it Adam, Jake, Chris, Lucas, or Roland.
We currently have no plans to restock the Skyva, and we need to remake the Double Bloop, but this will not be happening any time soon. I am not sure who might be texting... doesn't your phone indicate who is texting you?
I love your tutorials and the content. I am a newer yo-yo player and was hoping you guys can send me down a yo-yo that is unresponsive and can do grind keep up the good work thanks. You guys also helped me start out with the Fizz and Sage now I can do a bunch of tricks
Just have to ask might have missed something but still curious what happened to Jake seems like recently other than the tricks videos kinda fell off the map only curious cuz I got into yo-yoing and jumped right into 5a cuz of that guy
I'm sure he could give you a fuller answer, but I think he felt like he achieved his goal, and decided he might have more fun promoting yoyoing in other ways besides competing.
Nasser Feed Just keep practicing, and work on throwing your yoyo straight. Powerfully, yes, but straight is more important, the power will come. Change how you tilt your hand when you throw, or maybe when you turn your hand over when you're throwing, both of those things can affect your throw.
Michael Pate thank you Michael.. I'll practice more on my throwing, what I noticed is that I do have a powerful throw but I tend to throw on a tiny angle which shows after it leaves my hands so I'll work on fixing that
Nasser Feed Yeah, just like with any line (like your yoyo string) a tiny angle at the origin will be exaggerated the further from the origin you go. It'll come, it just takes practice. Your hand might feel awkward or unnatural when you're doing it the right way to get a straight throw at first, but before long it'll feel weird to throw your yoyo any other way. Yotricks has a couple of videos you can watch about how to throw your yoyo properly (one of which is in the "What to do after you get your first yoyo " video). It wouldn't hurt to watch them. You may not need the entire video, in fact, you probably don't. But one tip they give about making sure your hand is straight and doesn't turn over too early is to hold your opposite hand palm up at around the level of your belly button, and when you throw, just kind of smack the back of your throw hand into the palm of your non throw hand, and that will keep you from turning it over before you should. Unfortunately, I doubt that would work for the breakaway throw, so you'll just have to experiment to find a good way for you to make your breakaway straight. But like I said, just keep making sure you throw straight, and the power should gradually come over time. I hope this insanely long post helps, or at least makes you feel a little better, lol.
Pretty much all responsive yoyos will become less and less responsive if you don't lube them. What happened in the late 90s early 2000s is that players just stopped lubing their yoyos, so they gradually became less and less responsive. There was no one person who did this, everyone was doing it.
I'm really very too bad at yo yo. Because I don't have a good yo yo. It doesn't have a bearing or anything. Can't do a sleeper. There is no yo yo store in here Latvia where I live. They know yo yo as just ball with a string that goes up and down. So sad. I have wooden and a plastic yo yo.
Can I win one I really don't have a yoyo and I really want to do a lot of tricks and because my dad won't buy me one cause we don't have lots of money so pls plsss give away a yoyo

I choose Adam as the 6 th godfather of yoyoing as he is the best instructor of yoyo tricks.
Aakarshan Chauhan as do i

Let's get him "Widely known "
me too
I agree
What about Tom Khun?
Great to see Alan Nagao on this list! I got into yo-yos in the '90s when THP came to my elementary school and I went to their classes every week for a good while.
Tom Kuhn should be on the list.
Honestly they could've done a top 10 and still missed so many. Tom Khun, Steve Brown, Andre Boulay, Dennis McBride, Bill Deboisblanc, Black, Paul Escolar, Hiroyuki Suzuki, and so much more.
I think Mickey might be too recent to be a godfather of yoyo.
I'm so happy I got in the video
I think Mr. Freehand Steve Brown deserves a mention
Edward Evensen yup!!!
My Top 5 (in no particular order): Dale Oliver, Tom Smothers, Tom Kuhn, Arnie Dixon, Pedro Flores.
Yotricks,I'm in yoyoing about 10 months,so,is that an a good idea to use the Replay Pro for competition?
That is a good yoyo for competition.

yotricks Thank you,and sorry because I'm going to buy it on the YYF Europe website. Why? Because I'm not live in USA
Can you do the top 5 yoyos you should have in your collection.
1:19 how did that float?
Yo-Hans is a wizard!
Just got an unresponsive yo yo. You say to lube it but it doesn’t come apart. how do I lube it if I can’t get it apart?
What yoyo???
Proto-star. We actually got it apart but it looks like the spacer is attached to the bearing so my son doesn’t know how to get the lube in.

Steve Brown should have been on this list for creating 5A and the Freehand alone.
This is great content, thanks.

This is real!!! Very factual.
I'm so bad at yoyoing, my yoyo keeps tilting to the sides
Nasser Feed Just keep practicing, and work on throwing your yoyo straight. Powerfully, yes, but straight is more important, the power will come. Change how you tilt your hand when you throw, or maybe when you turn your hand over when you're throwing, both of those things can affect your throw.

Don't worry you'll get better

Then who made unresponsive yoyos?
It was not made by an individual, it developed over time.
yotricks thanks bro
what about that guy that invented unresponsive yoyo
No one person invented unresponsive yoyos, they developed over time by the community.
but who came up with this idea though, I am very very curious when and how string trick yoyos gone unresponsive
Pretty much all responsive yoyos will become less and less responsive if you don't lube them. What happened in the late 90s early 2000s is that players just stopped lubing their yoyos, so they gradually became less and less responsive. There was no one person who did this, everyone was doing it.
