I never seem to be able to position my technicals properly for maximum burning, which is one reason I don't use them as much as I probably should.
I’ve noticed that units tend to not take overwatch shots if the chance is 0% (except in the case of lightning reflexes which applies after). Your overwatch shots may have been that low. (Or if not, is there something else you have that has some limit based on the chance of overwatch. Does a perk have a hidden chance gate?) Edit: I noticed the overwatch on the zombie was 46%. Factoring in dodge, defense and cover, it’s definitely possible that the shots were too low to trigger.
Is there an issue with this mod 'Revert Overwatch Rules Change'? I am not using it and my overwatch is working just fine. If there is an issue why are LW recommending it?
My understanding is that the mod makes overwatch work how it's "supposed to" (rather, how it was before the Xcom2 WOTC expansion?). I'm not sure if there's any game breaking differences, but generally recommend running all of the required mods for LWOTC. Do what ya want tho
Hi - im doing 1.2 L/I early june - have light moderate UFO landing with about 20 aliens and 6 ppl. Have decent ppl available to go and have just an hour ago completed advanced mag weapons, so it is a spike in my power. Would you go with or without boosting? Boosting would drop it to light.... Really hasitating on this one. I have intel for it but would love some extra corpses and loot. But 6 against 20 sounds scary... Unless I try to cheese it somehow with trojan specialist, or corner door cheese
That's certainly doable but depends on your builds and ranks vs enemy force level. If their all cpls and sgts vs muton centurions maybe you should boost
@@shackacoddle90093/4 ssgt (shin, flame technical, assault, spec) and 2/3 sgt (gunner, shooty ranger, maybe sharpshooter). Need to drop one of these either spec, gunner o sharpshooter. FL7 now might get to 8 by the time of the mission.... I have seen 1 muton so far :)....
I recommend trying it without a boost, but taking a strategy layer save beforehand. If it turns about to be wayyyyyy not doable, load that save and give it a boost. Technically it's save scumming, but might a useful way to learn about the strategy layer without potentially campaign-ending consequences
No, thank you. It's called iron man for a reason. I only reload if there is a glaring misclick or clear bug. Never on bad decision making. Btw. I cancelled some building, armed team to the teeth and will try without boost unless strength changes in the region before the mission. Although I made a stupid error, taken wrong assault that has cautious on him. Hopefully rng gods will not screw me over with critical turn hunker down.

The LWOTC wiki has it at 20 trooper corpses for instant autopsy. So, 🤷♂️
