Our Aussie had a growth on his neck and I wasn't going to take him to the vet because I knew they would just give him drugs so I gave him about 50 drops of astragalus tincture from Red Moon Herbs (which I would highly recommend this company ) if you aren't making your own remedies. Anyway with in 3 days the growth was gone and it has NEVER returned!!

When I was visiting China for certification in Chinese Herbal medicine, we were taken to an open market where vendors were selling bulk herbs. We saw toddlers chewing on what looked like tongue depressors. We found out later they were strips of astragalus root. It is common practice for children to chew on this root to help them during teething to minimize pain and strengthen their immune system.

🙋‍♀Same here! Hubby started some nasturtium seeds in our basement, under a grow light. In NE Ohio, we can't plant them outside until about the beginning of June. But they've done so well, he's already dehydrated some of the leaves! I can't WAIT to make a tincture out of them!!! Thank you, Heidi....I learn so much from you! God bless you, sweet girl! 🥰

Just subscribed, I love herbs, herbalism runs in my blood. I have recently added this to my home apothecary. As many of ailments which have personally effected me over the years are treated by this, I am excited. I really should make my own elderberry syrup, as that is something I already take daily, so it would save me a separate concoction to mix them into an immune combo.

Heidi, have you tried Oregon's Wild Harvest? It only says manufactured in the USA, doesn't say where the plant was grown. They're currently out of the cut & sifted root, but at least it's something they offer (as well as ashwagandha). Homegrown Herbalist only stocks the powder, but if anyone is looking to make capsules or can choke down a tea no matter what it tastes like, it's an option. Homegrown Herbalist DOES list precautions and dosage, at least for their powders, which might prove helpful for some as well. The biggest precaution appears to be that both these "A herbs" can interfere with immunosuppressive drugs.

I had mullein tea for the first time, but hadn't done my homework when I took it with my daily supplements and a B12 which was new to me as well. I was fine for about 30 min. But I ended up with what appeared to mimic a heart attack. My heart started racing, my stomach was cramping. I got light headed and nausea. I barely got home before I vomited on the street. I then aspirated and was really panicky. Finally I was able to get some air and cleared my airway, but it took hours for my heart rate to come down. So we think I had a reaction to synthetic b12 and other supplements with Mullein tea. Not a heart attack. Pleeeease do as Heidi says and do your research. I'm very sensitive to many things, apparently I have to add a few more to the list. My sister uses astragalus all the time and swears by it. I hope I won't react to it like the other stuff.

Cover with HOT water, cover and let steep 15-20 minutes. Then add flavor to make it palatable. Orange juice, hot chocolate, etc. It has worked amazingly!
