I saw Starcrawler in Dallas a couple weeks ago with like 50 other people. It blows my mind that these guys aren't huge. As much as I love seeing them up close and having cool radio performances like this, they are way too good to be slogging it out like they are.
I was introduced to this band by my favorite of all time. After 20 years they opened for the iconic The Distillers and I have loved them since Vegas 2018 💕
I normally HATE country sounding music and slide guitar, but this band can make anything work. I especially love this version of Runaway. There is a video of them doing that song on a boat in a canal in London that is incredible.
I was really into Starcrawler until Austin Smith left the band. Maybe it's just me, but they just haven't been the same since. Don't get me wrong, they are still a good band with a lot of talent. With that being said, since Austin left the band they seem to have not been able to really find the right combination of musical chemistry that is on the same level as when Austin was in the band. Don't hate on me too much, it's just my honest opinion.
Sad this band isn't 'big enough' to make the 98Rock airwaves. Case and point, Turnstile. Local band that's gonna blow up and yet they're barely played. ::check radio:: Yep, there's Avenged Sevenfold playing again. 💩
@@scottjustin9800 Led Zeppelin; or are they past the 'thinly veiled' glorified cover band phase? In the literary world they would call it: fan fiction. I call it: get your own style phonies.
@@upcycle.outdoorsman9629 Well Robert Plant said he's a fan. So if they are good enough for him, they are good enough for me. (And everything is a copy of a copy of a copy) I'd take them over auto tuned mumble rap or generic pop any day of the week.
@@scottjustin9800 I know he said that. I also know if there was a legal case for theft of intellectual property, it would have been done a while back. As for the rest of it, I'm not going to play the lesser of two evils game about. I'm glad you like them. I do not. I like Starcrawler a lot better overall than whatever it is they decided to do with this acoustic 'joke' that isn't funny. This is why I asked what direction: because to me...they are both heading south of cheese based on this video.
I am convinced that if I don't like something than it will be huge , I don't like Billie Ellish or Post Malone and never thought much of Keith Urban so that can only mean this band will be big because I don't like them either lol
