In English 8 ball, people always comment saying "pockets like buckets" because they're all old english men who are bad at snooker and angry at pool even though the pockets in English 8 ball are the same size or smaller than snooker pockets. Where are they all now? Hah. I find either way it's an excellent demonstration of play. And honestly if you think pool is about potting, you don't understand pool. It's all about patterns and most of all control.
