Where I fish in instant snags but I do a liter and its fast current so my weight gets snagged but my bait is still fluttering around so I have to wait for a fish or I loose my tackle anyways
I have the same issue where I fish. Lots of rocks. I get some nice hookups but they just cut my braid. I fish on the lake side of Jackson lake dam I Georgia. If you come up with a good rig for fishing in those rocks I’d definitely be interested. I’m thinking about a 20 foot 50# shock leader on the end of my braid. Then a swivel and maybe 25# leader. Maybe put my sinker on the shock leader. Any suggestions?
Duuuuuude...nice kitty! Hit me up next time you're in Navarre. Im not talkin about fishin the pier neither. Too many knuckleheads. I'll put you on some Pomps from the beach.
I’m from metarie I go fishing almost everyday and one day I wouldn’t mind picking you up and going to do sum fishing in bayou gauche on the boat or land
I fish a really saggy place also but theres some huge fish I've lost a couple hundred dollars in weights the past year I always run out of weights all the time and have to go a week or two without fishing sometimes
A fish like that is a rarity they don't get that big overnight. Not to mention they produce alot of babies. So with all that in mind and knowledge of the fact that big catfish don't really taste that good. That's why I release any fish 10 lbs and up. When I do keep any it's just a couple maybe of 2 or 3 pounders. Someone else will enjoy catching that fish also
Not sure about the river hes fishing, but I hear that larger older catfish tend to accumulate bad chemicals like mercury and what not. Its interesting because a lot of the folk i have heard like the super small catfish more than bigger ones. Cant tell if there is a difference in taste though.
Is there another spot down river not far from there that is fished more often? You can email me about it if you like. I've heard about a spot and I want to find it.
M. Hood Fishing When the water goes down some more there is a sand bar that walks you right out to the river. I’ve never fished their just rode fourwheelers and swam. But there are a few ponds I would bet have catfish.

You ain't gotta be embarrassed about your old junk reel. You should have showed it off. It ain't about the gear. But surely you already know that
Need you to catch that enormous Gar in your bait spot
Has the Mississippi River come down a whole lot? Last time I saw that spot the water was against the levee.
Yea I thought it was still high
Did you try using a different rig brother? Use a 3 way... that way you only lose your sinker? I know a guy who makes weights if you need a good deal..
Nice one
