One of my favorite things that you do is when you are in an old town, you walk through the old churches. My wife and I LOVE to look at old churches. Thank you for sharing them. They are so beautiful.

Thank you so much for your gorgeous films - the quality of your camera work is really exquisite - I watch so many travel blogs and you honestly do it better - you set the standard and not many are near you in quality - I'm very grateful for your efforts ❤

The stone work is stunning. For some reason it always amazes me to see the same plants on the other side of the world as we have here in FL. I would love to walk those narrow streets. Another great video and loved the music.

Don’t you wish sometimes you could go back in time and experience the way it was, maybe as a Granadino?😊

A fine video of Grenada, what a historical and beautiful sight to see! The Alhambra will be waiting for next time, and that’s ok. Really appreciate the balancing act you do between the camera work and truly enjoying where you are at the same time. It’s all the little things that make a great story, and you somehow make it look so effortless. We know, it is not. Looking forward to watching the next one… Thank you!

Robert, as always, I love your videos. I've been to Spain some 20 times, and been to virtually every part of the mainland, including Granada 3 times. The first time in Granada was in early April 1990 and it was glorious. We were able to go right into the Alhambra palace without advance purchased tickets. The second time was in about 2004, and we learned our lesson that getting tickets in advance is an absolute necessity. I understand that your itinerary might mean you're not sure when you'll be in a particular place, but without exaggeration the Alhambra is not only one of the highlights of Spain, but one of the premier places in the world. You simply need to decide on a day you'll be in Granada, buy your tickets for that date. and stick to it, even if it means cutting out other places.

17:09 It is a aljibe, a water cistern from the Arab period. The Albayzin is full of them, and they were open and in use until the mid-twentieth century.

Not one, not two, but three refreshing adult beverages in this episode! 🙂The rock walls of the Alhambra are fascinating, they're like geologic layers in a way. A shame you didn't get to tour the palace, do tickets sell out way in advance?

We love your videos and have been watching them for a few years now. Your commentary makes them especially interesting and pleasant to listen to. We have a question...has anyone noticed that all the videos regularly hiccup every 30 seconds...just a momentary pause? Seems to be a feature that we do not find on any other TH-cam videos. Is there a reason for it and a solution?

    • @TravelingRobert

Hey Robert, nice to explore the streets of Granada with you this morning. Seeing all the touristy shops has me wondering: is it like in the US where a lot of shops sell the same things (made in China or Africa perhaps)? Or are the goods more unique and locally made?

Just wondering how many miles you two walk (on average) per day? You always do so much walking, but in Granada, it seemed even longer.

Visiting churches as a tourist is always a bit sticky. On the one hand you have the sanctity of the space, on the other the history, art and architecture. I try to always show respect for the sanctity of the space.

8:30 is not a Biblical position, in fact the Bible rejects repetitive prayers and any prayers to anyone other than God.
