A remaster is simply getting an old game or existing game doing slight edits such as upgraded visual.
A remake is a retelling of an old game build from the ground up.
A remaster is simply a port. A sonic riders remaster would be sonic riders with better graphics. A riders remake would mean new Sonic riders based on the old one being built up from the ground up. New things could be implemented and other things. That would include remade graphics, different voice actors and other stuff.

For being a spin off I fucking love this game all the different boards that let you choose your style, the soundtrack, stages the UI this game has a soft spot in my heart
Every racing game where the difference in characters was the vehicle type (and thus play style) always was absolute peak to play. Kirby's Air Ride did the same thing. Really wish more games would do that and not just "This car accelerates better but is slow, while this one is fast but has poor handling OH and good luck with sand baggers and item luck". PURE SKILL wins you Sonic Riders and Kirby's Air Ride.

@@darksonicyt5430 He already skates on the air, that's how his shoes work alongside the jet boosters. There's no friction.

Technically EVERYONE can use the Darkness skates, they use slightly less air per boost and passively but have worse traction. Though it was interesting Shadow is the only one without a default Board. (Technically Eggman's E-bike can be used by anyone too but given he's can only ride bikes....). Hehe but Shadow was one of 4 characters with the "Elongated Boost" so he's still top tier.

It would fit just as well if he used a bike.
Man may people says this was the worst but for me was the best in riders series it was really competitive with my friends playing all the weekend battle or race is fun in any mode

Are you kidding me? This is one of the easiest games to play there is nothing hard about this game in the slightest. You can literally come first every time.
Well, if you turn off the levels, it actually becomes somewhat of a challenge. Since a big part of the game is, levelling up, getting a full air bar and then just boosting off ahead of the AI. But if you pace yourself well it shouldn't be tough.
@@selassieaspen9940 on XBOX the computers are freaken hard and i hate and love it (I played all versions and i choose XBOX because of 720p 60fps and im playing it on 360 and this is my first time playing XBOX version and its the best port to me but im not counting Gamecube because thats good to but XBOX makes it better and PC don't have 4 players.)

Riders Sonic was just added to Sonic Forces Running Battle and kind of plays like this game too, so hopefully we see a new one soon. (The Babylon Rogues are also playable but they were added years ago)

@@stickydino Nah for the PS4 too! I would love it if SEGA ported over their 6th and 7th Gen PS2 and PS3 era Sonic games onto the PS4. I don't want to just play Mania, Forces, and TSR all the time either. Luckily, however I still own a Wii that's backwards compatibile with GameCube games and a Xbox 360 to play these titles, but it would be nice to play them on current gen as well.

Shadow banned from competitive for being too OP. XD (acutally he probably would. He, Aiai, Tails and Sonic (at level 2 or higher) get something called "Extended boost" where thier boost lasts far longer than other characters, allowing them to maintain that top speed. Plus Shadow's Chaos Control orb is one of the deadliest attacks in the game. So technically he IS top tier. Though you can argue Tails and the metal bike, NiGHTS and the Cover F, and Storm and the Powerful (Storm is the fastest heavy type despite what the stats say) and if you're able to keep the lead, Cream and the Light gear (has the longsest boost duration in the game due to her light weight) are the best, but I'm just geeking out. XD

I'm pretty sure that one TH-cam vid that talked about how good Sonic Riders was as a racing game was a big help to this game getting attention again. I hope there'll be a new entry on PC, Xbox, and Switch... Oh and PlayStation something.
I loved this game as a child and played it over and over instead of other games, back then I could even beat my older sibling in it. These days I'd need some time to get back into it xD

Th only reason I like this game is because drifting is so DAMN FUN.

I wouldn't blame you for not knowing this, since I didn't either, but you can boost while charging your jump.
It's useless though. It propels you for a short distance and consumes a lot of energy.

Shadow, Rouge,Wave, and Cream are my favorite characters to play with in this game. Eggman and his robots are hilarious and disgusting at the same time. I still have a PS2, it just needs new cables for the console.

That tornado late on the second lap was just RUDE.
Game is game! Love the Risk/Reward nature of the tornado. use most of your air and stop for a second, but hit your opponents with a really nasty attack if they try to catch you. This game required PURE SKILL to be good and gosh it felt GOOD! No gimmicks, no sang bagging, no "watch video and suddenly be the best online" like a certain OTHER Racing franchise....(coughMarioKartcough) oooh got sand in my throat....
Shadow was the best skater in Mobius. Now he can strive to be the best hover boarder in Mobius.

This video is proof that an on-foot Sonic racing game could work. The boost games are basically arcade racers anyway, just translate that into a format like Riders and you're set. You could even have the Babylon Rogues or Shadow using his bike and still make it work.
Using Sonic's speed as an excuse to put him in a car is silly, especially when previous Sonic games have had him race other characters on foot.

Kristoforus Ranandia Sulisetyo tapping the drift button in certain turns helps a ton. Not holding, just tapping briefly.

I've used a custom save file to get all of them, the PC version known as a "crashable" when you clear(almost) Heroes Story at the end of Sand Ruins's race.

All recordings found in my channel are PC ones, and yes, it's a bit tricky sometimes, left and right bind keys should do it.
Pressing repeatedly alternating was something I forgot to tell earlier.

Proper PC port from 2006, this is the only "Sonic Riders"'s game released to Windows systems so far. You can find an installation media over the internet, but it's quite tricky to find it.
@@218henrique The ones I find on the internet are damaged. The game freezes with a black screen after you finish the Heroes story mode.

You can still find it, but has become harder to search these days a trustful source, even a CD or digital media

Once I upload another video I'll share a link to it, be aware that it doesn't work like other consoles like you would expect (it does like the video though), intro and game process are way too broken. The thing I'll recommend is to download a complete save file after installing on your machine.
