Here’s for all the truck guys complaining about angles and front end stress 😂 personally I would’ve gone with a small lift and just chosen the block needed to level it but the beauty of this community is everyone can do there own thing. Much love.
@@lorenvandever3045 That's the only flaw with this kit. Cutting the droop limiter and relying on the shock will eventually over extend the shock and blow it out. I have this kit on my 2021 Chevy 2500 and I did not cut the droop limiters off.
@@Volfan812my brother in Christ, if you drive that truck like a normal person, that shock will NEVER blow out due to droop. Now if you think it’s a trophy truck and you go hammer whoops or just generally beat on it, then you’re probably gonna blow the shock out. But if you hammer the truck like that even with the droop limiter in place, you’re just gonna bend the upper arm anyway. The only purpose of the new upper arm is to allow you to lift the front a couple inches while still maintaining a few inches of droop. With the limiter perch you’ve completely negated the purpose of the upper arm, you could’ve just cranked up on your torsion keys and kept stock arms. Anybody worried about the shocks being blown out either doesn’t know that a good shock can easily handle this, or they are treating the truck like it’s a race truck which it’s clearly not.
I was hoping it would ride better..softer over bumps vs factory like my Carli 3" level lift on our SD. We also have a 24 GMC HD in both gas and diesel.
@@ritexyz well everyone has their own taste! As this is a public video i just shared my opinion. Don't get offended brother 😞 it's his truck, he can do whatever the hell he wants but as a viewer i have the right to share my opinion.
Good stuff Devin! The cutting on the front wouldn't be a thing I would be to fond of doing if looking for or mounting a lift kit. But hey if there's no other way then yeah what can you do then besides just cut it right. 😆 It's still super solid, i'm pretty sure.
Upgrade those shocks! Rancho's 🤮Don't need triple bypass or anything too fancy but that'd be something high on my list, atleast Fox id have thought would have come with something like this, amazed a 70k truck comes with such low specc shock! Otherwise looks good though I agree with someone below about cutting ya stops to fit a kit, surely better kits than that out there like Carli though probably overkill and much higher cost, but IME this type of stuff is an investment, do hack jobs and its depreciates your truck! I hope ya go with a real wheelset this time not those little gangster poky things too, anyways jmo, massive truck though, love black but da m its beyotch to keep clean, def PPF. good work. 🤘
The rear is usually higher so the truck looks levelled when you have load in the back. The cutting probably compromised the strength of the chassis a little. Next you re gona cut the bumper for bigger wheels and make the truck look weird lol
Thats one of the reason its also to help aerodynamics, handling, leveling it out when loaded as you mentioned, as well helps it stop faster with more of the weight on the front
LOL, It has nothing to do with the "lift" its the UCAs, they are designed that way, its GMs frame that causes this. This is the only generation of duramax that is needed to do this. You have to cut on a full tilt 4" suspension lift kit as well to get the sub frame in... Shows how many people know nothing about trucks. And its not 70k.. truck is probably around 84k
Beautiful truck boss, love to have one but hard to get here. How'd your brother Cameron doing he hasn't posted in a while? Sorry it's been a while since watching your videos. Just been busy.
Devin just a heads up. These 23 and 24 trucks have weak transmissions. Gm is going through a national valve body shortage right now. I got a 23 with 30k miles and the transmission already grenaded
@Dvniemela congrats on the new truck. Looks good and can't wait to see the wheels you got for it. So do you have your old truck and if so so you want to sell it
Out of all the trucks I've lifted, chevy by far rides the worst. The wheels are a bit offset too. Front sticks out more than the back or vis versa I forget.
Devin…. It’s been a steady mission to get you to see me… I’m getting tired boss waters drying out… only way to come back is if you build an 8th gen SI GIVE AWAY 😂
Great video! Need more people doing quality instructional videos like this. Great delivery and no blah blah blah bull shit. Well done 👍

I'm not super happy about the fact that you have to cut a pretty significant bracing for the attachment points to the upper control arms....
@@amdstrollo3074 thats not bracing, its the stock droop limiter, which is not needed anymore as the shock will do the job.

Thank you for this Video! Literally walked me through the entire install and I was able to do it by myself. Super appreciative!!!👌🏼
Congrats again on another truck even tho the last one was bad from factory. You deserve it bro! God bless
After that first cut the "lookin factory" killed me lol
loving the truck content
Thanks for the video. Looking at options to keep factory or improve ride quality to add a 300 lb front bumper.
definitely should have gotten a coiliver leveling kit
So happy for truck builds
im not a truck guy but im eating all this content up
Awesome Devin and very different but very interesting to watch! 👍 Just wondering what your going to rebuild next maybe a NSX or Evo 4 😃😃😃😃😃
I was hoping it would ride better..softer over bumps vs factory like my Carli 3" level lift on our SD. We also have a 24 GMC HD in both gas and diesel.
The stock height looks absolutely perfect, don't know why you always lift them!! It's not like you're 7 feet tall.
It looks good with a lift
Depending on the new wheel width and offset, they’re gonna rub on stock height.
good thing u dont own the truck.. it would look stupid🤣dont know why ur telling someone what to do with their OWN vehicle

Congratulations on the new truck Devin looks mad clean
As expected from a 2024 though
Damn you read my mind my 22 had a 6.5 bds my 23 had a 5” bds I’m 51 thinking of the 3” now holy shit we’re going into paw paw mode

I like these teachable vids a lot more, you should do more. thanks
Kryptonite would have been my choice. No cutting needed
Truck looks good!
Did u need to add a spacer for the front a shop near by said I would need a 1/4 spacer with my stock wheels I’ll be getting wheels later tho

Nice truck bro
Sawzall to 70k truck frame to put a level kit in is absolutely asinine. Should make a better lift kit that you dont have to cut the frame.
That was by no means the frame lol
Coming from a Ford. I don’t understand the GM front suspension. Where are the coil springs?
My father in-law has a 2024 just sitting in the driveway broke down and dealership cant figure it out. While my 2006 still runs like it did new
Imagine buying a $85,000 truck and having to cut into it to install a lift kit. Bro.....better kit choices out there

I the white NSX next?

That wheel gap is BUNK!! 🤣
Can the next big project be the older evo u own (sorry can't remember which one it is v maybe?)
Devin, are you keeping the factory wheels?
gt3 coming soon still??👀
Might be a Huracan
More trucks content you are good at it

What torque wrench do you use?
Hell is that ELECTRIC

Just noticed the EVO is no longer part of the decorations of the shop, where did it go?
The shop on the other side stores cars along with the print shop.
MInd blowing how many people know nothing about lift and leveling kits.
So, did you need the 1” block for the rear on a 3” kit? Or did you just want to stretch it a bit to make it taller?
Truck doesn’t look level to me… a little tail high. If you tow I would see needing the block to be level.
I am in the market for a mid size truck. Would you recommend a Chevy Colorado Z71 or GMC Canyon AT4?

Adjust your headlights

Plz more truck vidz im tired of the Jdm and German cars this is refreshing
The more preload you add the worse it rides
fing amazing!
love the truck
I would have went with the cognito 3inch with either fox shocks or kings. This spacer kit will probably make the truck ride like ass 🤷🏽♂️
Spacer keeps it from riding rough, even the Bilstein 5100s are stock height, you need spacers regardless
Please get rid of those horrible Rancho suspension. Go with Bilstein 6112. You’ll be very happy about that
sorry dog, but there are plenty of kits that don't require cutting a brand new truck.. big oof
All those nuts and bolts are metric.
Man cutting the truck up? Why not just buy the correct control arms? 😂 less and less people have common sense these days

Waste of cash, shoulda just drove the one you had.

I really hate the aftermarket shit, where you have to butcher the car to install them 🤢🤢🤢
