Absolutely beautiful, so happy for you! Please don't get rid of the fireplace, though, it makes the room, very cozy and elegant! You could put flowers or plants or candles - even battery operated ones - on the hearth even if you never light it.
Also, in the living room where tiles gave been broken, it might look really cool to have some different tiles, maybe like handpainted ones, on the floor in a few spots instead of redoing the whole thing to look the same - plus less waste of materials
Oh Saga! I'm in love! Your home is amazing and has loads of potential. The outdoor balcony areas are to die for! A thought about your fireplace: although you don't want to use it might I suggest you consider keeping it for it's charm and architectural interest? There are many ideas on the internet with ways you can use and decorate a nonworking fireplace. Maybe you will see something that you think is clever and beautiful. I'm so super excited to see more videos of your progress on the home. Plus your regular content as well. You are a delight. :) Hugs from the USA!

That staircase Rocks! You almost never get such a wide stairwell in Italy, it'll make renovations and furniture moving easy, plenty of light, fun to sit on a stairwell like that, it will go off if u have a party or kids. Omg those floorboards! Fantastic. Along with that epic fireplace. If u remove it you'll regret it. Plus it'll cost u a fortune to remove and make good. Then you'll have to install another heating source.

the entry is beautiful and the stairs too! the colour and smart design of them and how they slope gently not steep, so inviting. you just have to adjust around them with the right decor, make a cozy landing area, put a couple of plants or pottery on the stairs, you can even put a vintage rug up the center of them, so much you can do! please keep them :)
Congratulations!! Your house is AMAZING and beautiful!! I just loved seeing the tour of the inside and outside! I am Swedish-American and my husband is 100% Italian. I just love dreaming about what life would be like living in one of these older Italian houses! It would be so much fun to spend days fixing, painting, and renovating using recycled materials! We don't get snow here and we don't have solar panels, maybe one day if budget allows! Open fireplace does nothing for heat, dream would be earth heating like done in Sweden :)
@@SagaJohanna Back in time all the houses were heated with fireplace, and cook with them. The whole house life was built around the fireplace. Specially in Italian houses made of bricks that if not heated are cold.
14:54 Maybe not place the compost close to the house, compost attracts animals, so unless u want rodents and other animals close to your house, then move it further away if possible.
Love your house and gardens , but Just one word of caution.. be careful of snakes hidden in the dark.. I know what I'm talking about.. I would wear some boots down in the cellar.
I love you but who on earth needs a house that big? just one endless nightmare to maintain. Bye Bye Minimalism....I imagine once you fix it up you could sell. Of course good luck to you!!!
@@SagaJohanna - Good! Because the alternative just may end up being your biggest nightmare! 🤦♀️ the house will end up owning you, not the other way around. You could always consider using the second house as an Air B&B. Whatever you decide, good luck!
What a strange comment. We looked for months to find something smaller but it wasn’t possible. They don’t built small houses with gardens in this region, plus the house isn’t “big” by American standards. European yes! Millions to renovate this house would be impossible to spend, and we’re planning on doing it ourselves. Why would we need construction workers on retainer?

Open fireplaces unfortunately do really nothing to heat a house, so we will need another heating solution! :)

I know this Region. Very nice. How much did you spent, if I may ask? 😊
Oh how cool! 40,000 euros! plus fees. I'll do a full video on it :)
14:54 Maybe not place the compost close to the house, compost attracts animals, so unless u want rodents and other animals close to your house, then move it further away if possible.
so cool! are you going to learn italian?
Yes, I already speak Italian on a basic level, but currently working towards fluency :) which is hard!!
🍾🥂🍀A very nice traditional italian (let's say european) country house.
Thank you so much! 💖💖

Love your house and gardens , but Just one word of caution.. be careful of snakes hidden in the dark.. I know what I'm talking about.. I would wear some boots down in the cellar.
The snakes don’t like the damp of the cellar, they’re all in the garden 😅 jokes aside most are harmless!
Pollution, really
What is?
I love you but who on earth needs a house that big? just one endless nightmare to maintain. Bye Bye Minimalism....I imagine once you fix it up you could sell. Of course good luck to you!!!
It’s very hard to find small houses here with gardens. We’re planning to restore it into 2 houses which makes it a lot smaller ☺️
@@SagaJohanna - Good! Because the alternative just may end up being your biggest nightmare! 🤦♀️ the house will end up owning you, not the other way around. You could always consider using the second house as an Air B&B. Whatever you decide, good luck!
Not a good idea dark underwear with a white light dress and stay in front of the window...
I think it looks nice! :) With beige underwear someone might think I was naked lol! :)
I like it.
hi
you need professional youtube thumbnail designer ???
Hope you have a million plus to spend and a crew of construction workers on retainer. Looks like you went American big rather than smart.
