Alcohol! Candy! We all enjoy both, right? Well, what about... FUSING THEM?! That's right, we decided to get four different alcohols and four different bags of candy, and left them soaking... FOR A WEEK! We then sat our Irish People down to see what they thought of the candy-infused alcohol.

Someone needs to send him a bottle of Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey. It's actually pretty good. Doesn't really taste like whiskey though but you really get the peanut butter flavor.
I bet if you separated the Jolly Ranchers and the Sour Patch Kids into their respective flavors you would have clearer colors and tastes.

The jolly ranchers make really great colors when you separate them and only takes about 6-8 hrs shaking the bottle every 1-2 hrs.

You could divide up the Jolly Ranchers and put ONE color in each jar. You'd have different colors and flavors and it would look fun!

Ciara’s “it’s giving stool sample” made me laugh so hard I choked 😂
I’ve done this quite a few times. The key is to blend the solids before adding them to the liquor. You then strain the slurry off through a fine mesh. The infusion is very strong if it’s done this way. Try doing beanboozled shot infusions for a fun game!
The thing is, the solids should have been pre-shots chewables if the makes sense. You eat the solids first then shot.
Kinda makes you full so you can be less drunk.
And put the bottle in the dishwasher to make it mix faster and better.
May I say, thank you for the tips. My favorite thing is bourbon cherries. Black, sweet cherries soaked in Woodford Reserve. Yummy.

I used to infuse Hartley's Brandy with blackberries that grew on the farm where I lived in Central Vermont. The process took about two months, but the resulting blackberry brandy was delicious.

My grandmother used to crush peppermint candy and let it dissolve in bourbon whiskey. Good for treating coughs.

We use peppermint schnaps and jack daniels. Get a pint of each. Mix the two together then pour back into the pints. You have two bottles of cough syrup.
Ya'll shouldn't be worried about the taste of the whiskey and peanut butter cups as much as, the fact the cups didn't seem to break down at all in the jars LOL

Niall had it 100pct right about the vodka flavors. You should use skittles and absolutely have to take out the green and purple beforehand. Skittles vodka is excellent and I have made it many times!
The best is gummy bears in vodka. Then make popsicles with the gummy bears & lemon soda! 🎉😊 My fav candies were always sour watermelon. Now I’m excited to see if those would work!
I've also done gummy bears with vodka and rum (separately). You only soak the candy until they start to swell (15-30 mins) then you can eat your boozy bears.
I use trolli gummie soda bottles in spice rum. So tasty

The first one with caramel and rum, there is a microdistillery in Wisconsin that makes a toffee rum which is incredible called Smooth Sailing Rum and to quote Ciara it is divine

When I was a kid and got a nasty cough, my mom would give me a teaspoon full of honey mixed with a whiskey called Rock 'n Rye that had candy in it. It was pretty sweet and helped ease the cough!

We started doing this 30 years ago and over the next decade we made more than 100 different versions. The stronger the candy you put in, the better the end drink (most) often will be.
We also made some rank ones. Like pork rinds and vodka. That was... ...a mistake! 😀
We have this salmiak/pepper powder hard sweets called Tyrkisk Peber. IN the 90's every party you went to had those. Then, as you wrote, the other flavours started showing up.

En af favoritter var en særlig bolcheblanding i Føtex, der fik shotsne til at smage af Hubba Bubba tyggegummi. De var lækre.
Mine personlige favoritter var Kongen af Danmark, de trekantede pebermyntebolcher og Althea bolcher.

We've made other horrible ones, but that one stood out. That and the MSG one. It wasn't actually MSG but something called Aromat, which is a flavor enhancer used in stews and stuff like that. It did enhance the flavor, so much so that the vodka became almost undrinkable.

Its best to use 1 flavor. I turned a bottle of grey goose into blue goose with about 15 blueberry jolly ranchers. It was nice, but taking a bottle to the neck because it tasted fantastic was a terrible mistake

Jolly Ranchers and Vodka is the best and you don't have anything left when it's finished. Segregate then by flavor and you have several jars of beautifully colored potions.

I used to do this with jelly babies and vodka, wait until fully dissolved then add ice.. it sets round the ice.. delicious!
The whiskey and reeeces just had me wishing you have Dermott in for this shoot just for the reaction of mixing his fave thing with his most hated

Here in the States we have a peanut butter whiskey call Skrewball. If you can find it over there give it a try if you were tempted by the Reese's Cups and whiskey.
The combinations of personalities was perfect in this video. I love when the participants engage with each other and the on-screen chemistry is visual.
This is the sort of thing that was done in college. Two of the abominations we drank; Lemon Drop - lemon candies dissolved in cheap vodka, Boot Beer - rootbeer barrels dissolved in grain alcohol.
The first one looked like samples I collected when I worked at a waste water treatment plant!
I saw a vid of someone doing berry skittles in malibu rum and had to try it, it was the best thing that I've ever put in my mouth. Highly recommend.

I used to do jolly rancher infused vodka. I would separate all the colors and stick them in mason jars. I made a cinnamon jolly rancher vodka for one of my best friends for Christmas.
Listen, the trick with the Jolly Rachers, you want to dissolve them with them separated by flavor for individual jars of the different flavors.
I have missed cream rum, and Werther's in rum sounds fantastic.

There is a Canadian madman named DokaRyan whose entire channel is devoted to infusing things into alcohol. Some are genius; others, not so much (I believe he's given himself food poisoning a couple of times with non-candy items. Like meat.).
The problem with the Reese's Cups is the high fat content in the chocolate is not alcohol soluble, whereas the sugars and gels in the other candies are. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

The jolly ranchers are supposed to be separated by flavor. So you get pretty colors and now brown puddle water look.

I have made these types of flavored candy alcohol for Christmas gifts (even though I don't drink). I've made Lemonhead vodka, Swedish fish Vodka, Lychee candy vodka, atomic fireball whiskey, and root beer barrel bourbon. Easy and somewhat inexpensive gifts 😊 (figure at least 2 cups candy for each 500ml bottle, more or less to taste)

While in the service, my ship was stationed in Naples, Italy. I would buy hard candies there with whiskey in them. I would have to stand watch out on the weather deck in the winter and I would suck on them. Try a slippery nipple. 50-50 Butterscotch Schnapps and Irish Cream.

There’s a peanut butter whiskey we get here in LA. It tastes like frangelico. It’s good just over ice.

I actually make jolly rancher vodka as a gift for friends and rarely for myself.

Go to Japan and try some Habu Sake. It will get your attention when they stir the jug so all the floaties mix with the shot.
okay... let me go even madder scientist for y'all.
a bag of jolly ranchers, separate them by flavor, put them in separate vodka jars (or other alcohols) let it soak.. now use the results to make different flavored jello shots (ie watermelon jolly rancher and strawberry jello mix) then have the tryers "mystery alcohol" guess the 2 flavors... winner gets the end credits, loser has to eat a licorice and durian flavored jello shot.

Padraig seems to go well with female Tryers, like he's one of the girls if you know what i mean. His gestures, speech expressions. I think he would be happier with a fruity drink than a neat glass of whisky or a beer.
I always have appreciated the alcohol videos back from the beginning. Though I do feel like people have gotten a lot less enthusiastic in drinking the whole shot lol
Protip: Only use one colour of candy in the Jolly Rancher + Vodka. You drink will look much more appealing and have a more distinct flavour.

The Try Channel needs to do what Doka Ryan does, and add all kinds of crazy food into different liquors, and then taste them after awhile. Kind of like this video, but more exciting

I've only made the Jolly Ranchers vodka in separate flavors, but now I'm curious about throwing them in altogether. Green apple and blue raspberry were fan favorites and mixed very well with Sprite. Watermelon was meh, and a lot of people said cherry and grape was too medicinal.

There is a channel called DokaRyan that does this sort of thing. Mixes random ingredients with random alcohols. Some are good, some are mediocre amd some are gnarly.
There used to be a jellybabies cocktail I'd get in the eighties. If i remember right it was vodka, vermouth, lime cordial and something😂🎉.
