We just got new chairs at church and they are very hard on my back. The opening between the sear and the back is so big that my pillows won't stay in place. This design could help with that. I may also try making one that I can put foam in. Thanks for doing this one!
This is adorable. I think this will be the perfect pattern to simplify for a chair cover for my daughter's first project. We will use polar fleece (a gift from her teacher) to make the cover.
They are really fun and easy to make! So glad you enjoyed the tutorial! We'd love to see some pictures if you want to share on the Sewspire Facebook page. XO, Andrea
Great video. I have a question, my daughter is getting married. I am thing about covering stackable chairs with sashes for the reception. How much longer should I make the backside?
Congrats! I think you could easily add 12 to 15" to the length; but, to be safe, measure your chairs from the seat to the floor and then double that and add 2" and that will be length of your flap piece on the rear.
Excellent question Hope! Measure the seat width and add two inches; measure the seat depth and back height and add two inches to get the measurement of the two larger rectangles and then measure from the width of the back of the seat to the floor and add two inches to get your desired back flap measurement. (Or, more simply, just adding two inches to your chairs measurements) Happy sewing!
This was so much fun to make, thankyou for the detailed instructions ♥️
Very nice.

Sewspire Thank you
how can we adjust this to fit other size folding chairs. I have some patio folding chairs that are made similar but are bigger.
