Passport verification is nothing but they just cross-verify the data in the passport and your application. Also, the whole process is completely depending on your case officer. There is no specific timeline. But this year the process is going pretty smoothly and faster compared to last year.

I applied for student residence permit and received a mail that my application has been granted. I have a doubt regarding decision letter, Is it mandatory to collect it or Is the residence permit card enough for the travel and applying social security number when we arrive in Sweden?

My wife and myself had finished biometrics and passport verification yesterday. My wife is the primary applicant and she had received an email granting RP card but I have not received any email till now. Will it take time to receive the confirmation for dependent?
Same ..I think they will send mail only to primary applicant..checked in portal and it's showing spouse status as decided..so mostly it will be same only
