You are right, it will turn off if inactive. So you can’t make it just stay on as one might using it as a statue. But that would be a straightforward ‘hack’ if you open it up.
+MimiJamesKiryuu Remember, for 'Try me mode' you also have to have the switch on the back in the 'Try me position'. Otherwise the chest button just becomes the 'wake up from sleep' button. Hope tgat helps!

Does the light saber come apart? I just bought one off eBay and haven't opened it yet and the longer light is detached. Just thought I'd ask before I opened.
We Never removed it for fear it would be wired to an LED. however is securely affixed and as you can see takes some punishment! maybe the LED is wired up the arm and into the hand. that the lightsaber is just glued in place, you will know sooner than I. good luck!

Some of the polotics and history dropped for more screen time e.g. where Han and Chewie goofed about with monster balls on a spaceship... I did not need to see that. More Han + Leia and why they split-up and what has happened to the Rebels and funding etc would have been better.. +another 'death star', really ? I liked the new characters and really enjoyed Finn and Rey. Although they are all written with 'script immunity'. IE - They seem to simply walk away from crash landings without a scratch.. There is much more going on in Kylo's warped head than we know right now and his story and Lukes is being saved for the next movie/s.

Lets hope Snoke adds some real intrigue , that Phasma is actually a Rebel spy and that Kylo cant fight off the good side anymore and even killing his dad hasnt actually made him dark.... :o

In person it looks just fine and there is a statement on the box that ThinkWay Toys has used the actual movie model details and that they were used in making this quarter scale figure. Like many toys after their launch, this can be bought for circa 60% of the original price, Sonia much better value now. Personally, I think this action figure needs an opponent, so as long as the owner has a friend / sibling with a similar scaled figure then the added lights, motion and sounds will make that style of play great fun and certainly worth the money. If you want this as a display figure. Not so much. This figure is for hands on play.

(Spolier alert) It helps us understand better How he old (young!) he is and coupled with not yet being fully trained makes more sense to me. And this may be wrong - but is the full face helmut worn as much to hid his youth and in respect and to honour (copy) Vader ?. + I cant think of any other dark side jedi in the earlier movies that wore full face Armour. That is what is so great about Kylo Ren. Still so much potential for bad and even for good. He may yet suprise us all!

+supereggman2000 That one is a tough one and we will have to wait and see. In my mind it is down to these things: Kylo Ren is not fully trained. Kylo was wounded in the hip by Chewie . Kylo had just killed his father and emotionally distraught. Rey.... I agree how she picked up her force speak etc so quickly is perplexing. But fighting with a lightsaber... Its a blooming powerfull sword. Heck I would give that a go if someone came at me.. Especially if i knew how to handle a regular sword or similar weapon... I have made my peace with Kylo and Ren and want to know more. (Rey hasn't said... But maybe Luke did do some training when she was a very young child, before abandoning her ??? At least that is one of many good possible theories)

Yes, but you get most sound effects etc based on motion and impact.
