When blackpink debuted her verses in the songs were almost all rap parts and she kinda felt frustrated since she wanted to be a singer not a rapper. Yg (her company) asked her if she wanted to rap as well since she was the only one (back then in 2010) that could speak english fluently and she thought “why not? let’s give it a try”. In fact if you check kill this love’s album you’ll notice that she doesn’t have any rap parts in the songs. Yg kinda made her hate rapping. She came back as a rapper in 2020 with “the album”. She explained to blinks that she likes rapping but she likes as well singing. Now she doesn’t have this problem anymore as you can see in the recent songs. She enjoys rapping🖤💖
