- Skver Rebbe encourages singing of the chassidic nigun that for many decades wasn't sung after the zionists started singing it. Several years ago it was reclaimed - lag baomer 5783
I was told that this melody was counted among Chabad melodies until they distanced themselves from it due to its being claimed by a secular movement.
What an amazing site
This song has been sang on simchas torah in skver for over 150 years. It used to be a Hakafah song but ia now sang by the tish instead.
