I am a follower of Yoruba history and I have read different versions and I'm still interested in reading more. I will wait patiently to read and watch your research work because it is getting interesting. Let's go there! God will continue to give the wisdom.
Thanks for the history! I would strongly encourage you to avoid religious sentiments such as comparing creation accounts and obviously validating Islam’s version over Christianity’s. E se o.
Before you believe this story Google human genome diversity project. Also the oldest skeleton dug up by man is in lake Chad. So how do you people validate that?

I’m afraid the audio in this Iran Yoruba 1 is awful. So please and please can you sort out the audio so that we can learn and enjoy this important history of our heritage.
Kudos for the narration. However I have to say that it is disappointing to hear another Yoruba scholar / historian try to validate our history by invoking the Greeks. Please kindly share the book or script referred to in the video where the Greeks wrote about Ile Ife. No other race rely on external sources to validate who they are (unless something very close or similar) e.g. the Egyptians wrote about the Nubians or vice versa. From my research, there is no explicit text from the ancient Greeks that mention Ile Ife nor should they. Nor should we keep using these newer civilizations to validate our ancient and rich culture, this sort of claims invalidates your scholarship. Again if there is proof to this fact, please share.
The history of the Yorubas is in the Bible. According to research, the name emerge from the Yeroboam, transliterated to 'Yorubah' the servant of King Solomon in the bible.
The Yoruba-speaking people and the Ibo as Eber their ancestors are the combination of the 10 tribes. Nigeria is sitting in the Northern kingdom among others such as Ghana, Cameroon, Benin Republic, and so on according to the scriptures. Those in the Southern kingdom are in South Africa where our ancestor Abraham lived and died. The tribe of Benjamin, part of Judah, and Naftali dwells in the Southern Kingdom.
@@ojurereolodumare8212 i read it in a book written by an European. Even the river called river Niger was named after the inhabitants across the river called Yarba in Hebrew. I have read books written in the 1800's where Commander Forbes of the British royal navy identified the Yorubas as the Jews of Africa and the descendants of the Israelites that were chased away from Jerusalem (the East) in 70AD by the Romans into the interiors of Africa. Also i have books where Sultan Bello of the Sokoto Caliphate told the British that the people called Yoruba are the remnants of the children of Israel and they can be located across the Yarba(Niger) river. It's all documented.
@@bujuaji i am sure of that, however, I am sure that the name Nigeria means Niger area ( the area of the blacks) as Simeon in the New Testament was referred to as Niger.
No you're wrong about many things you said about Christianity and Bible records. The disciples of Jesus Christ were Christians and that's not after 300 years. It is better to stick to what you understand so you also don't create stories at the expense of history.
The bible is not an accurate source for African history at all. The Jews are only 10,000 years old at best. As soon as you use the book of Hebrew and Christians mythology, you have tarnished, even dismissed, your scholarship legitimacy.
I ENJOYED THIS POWERFUL MESSAGE FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END 💯

Very correct. Yoruba is the one translated as Jeroboam in the bible.
