Definitely seeing Tower of Babel lines here. Imagining if the punchline of the story was instead of the gods strike the mortals down for insubordination, they were just puzzled, and the builders just kept building pushing the castle people past the land of the gods, forever into the void. The castle people thought this was amazing at first but then realized their absolute lonelyness. Occasionally someone would jump off to try get back to the old world, and that’s where shooting stars come from.
Well there are some spoiler areas but what’s happening is something similar :) but shooting stars idea is very interesting like they started to burn when they entered to atmosphere 🙃 thank you so much for your comment 🫀
Literally everyone was filed into roles based off their physical characteristics, which was further compounded over years (generations?) of physical corruption and cognitive degeneration driven by the elite and framed divine transcendence. They became mindless slaves to the whims their masters had convinced them were their own. They cast aside the obsolete machines of the past for they become machines themselves. This is to say, I think "a bit sad" may not cover it. It's all quite terribly tragic.
Yeah, because hauling few ton stone blocks onto cranes is much more dignited work. Someone has to keep the labourers feed, clothed, clean and healthy if they want to ever finish this Babel. If Stone Haulers are the machine, women are the fuel that lets this machine function. Napoleonic armies are *THE* example of this. Thing as simple as washing the camps clothes was a task of monumental effort from all ladies engaged in this, before each and every one of them had to *QUICKLY* wash *HUNDREDS* of cloth pieces, in a way not to left the men without theyr uniforms. And uniforms in Napoleonic Era were the most basic and needed piece of soldiers equipment, second only to theyr musket and with bayonet on the third place. - ( At this moment Im tired and sleepy as I don't know what. So it is better for all of us for me to stop expanding on that though. ) To sum this up : Your intentions were good, but your lack of understanding of the subject actually undermined the thing you wanted to upmine. Nothing bad happened. There always is a space to improve.
