I'm a brazilian baptist christian, and I can't understand exactly what is happening... tell me... what is a praise break? The musicians are very well trained for that.
a praise break is just out way of setting a moment in which we celebrate our God in a happy dance with glory music.

ohhh, is what I was thinking. Very cool. Here we separate the parts of our celebration in different momentos. Whorship and dance, prayer, preaching, but not together, you know? I mean, we first pray, then we sing a lot, dance a lot, worship, and then we have the sermon, after that a praying moment and then finish. Good to know other cultures :) God bless!
It's the same here. There is however a traditional mindset among African American churches to "Let God have His Way" as we like to put it. This means "when you feel it, do it" so there times when emotions and feelings are high like at this funeral when people share a communal moment of grief and joy that makes these experiences unlike anything you will experience in an ordered service.
