I'm trying to make a blanket that has panels. I'm doing the e wrap and the edges curl. Won't be so bad with the inside panels because they will be sewn together. I'm wondering how I would do the outside edges. I have heard about slip stitch but I have only found slip stitch with purl. Would that make the blanket look different?
I'm sorry you're still confused. With a slip stitch edge you always knit the last peg of the row, and then skip (or slip) the 1st peg in the row. You do that going left to right, right to left, just like I show as you work your flat panel. Yes. You skip the end peg. Say you've done your cast on...go all the way to your 9th peg...once you get to your 9th peg wrap it the way she shows you in the video (wrapping around from the front to the back...a U Wrap). Do your knit offs. The start wrapping back to your start point starting with your 8th peg like she shows you in the video. Then KNIT your first peg and start wrapping your stitches back to your last peg.
No. It provides a nice uniform braided edge along a flat panel item. For item knit as a flat panel you need to add purls in to the border or overall design to prevent curls. Garter border, garter scarf, seed stitch, rib border, etc.
I love that you do videos instead of written instructions.
how do you finish the blanket
What is a slip stitch

will this always make it flat?

I just love how people post a video and you make a comment asking for help and NOBODY helps you. 😡😡
