    I just want to say how thankful I have been for all these videos- especially this one! the six marker that came up today was exactly what was in this video, no one else on TH-cam had made practicals so easy to follow and it's a mystery as to how you don't have more subscribers

    For the physics paper 2 exam should you skip reading context for the questions so that you can save time 😁(ie.calculation questions)

    • @GCSEPhysicsExplained
      @GCSEPhysicsExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The exam board usually gives you enough time to get through all the questions without rushing, so I would say read all the questions carefully to make sure you understand what they’re asking, even the calculation questions. Don’t take too long on any question. Ie if it’s worth 1 Mark, spend 1 minute. If it’s 3 marks spend 3 minutes etc. That’s good time management. If you get stuck on a question, put a star next to it, move on, and go back to it at the end if possible. Good luck, Yashin

    • @GCSEPhysicsExplained
      @GCSEPhysicsExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I taught A-level physics for 20 years but probably won’t be doing A-level physics videos yet because I’m concentrating on GCSE physics for now. There’s a TH-cam channel called “Online physics” with a nice chap called Lewis, which covers A-level physics. Check him out. @AbidMA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think so since we have formula sheet

    • @GCSEPhysicsExplained
      @GCSEPhysicsExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Josh. Every year on every physics paper, about a third of the marks come from calculations. There's a lot of maths in physics. I'm predicting this year will be no different. As long as you use the equation sheet and pop the numbers in the right place, it's a gift. Hope that helps

    • @GCSEPhysicsExplained
      @GCSEPhysicsExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AbidMA The formula sheet is a gift from Edexcel because they know your education has been disrupted by Covid. It's very kind of them. If you use the formula sheet correctly, you should be able to score good marks from the calculation questions. Good luck.

      @@GCSEPhysicsExplained What about for combined higher

    • @GCSEPhysicsExplained
      @GCSEPhysicsExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Other than the core practicals, looking at the ADVANCED INFORMATION, it could be a combination of KE and GPE, something to do with magnets, like how to create an induced magnet from a permanent magnet? Or, something to do with kinetic theory? The examiners are pretty creative about coming up with new questions.

    • @GCSEPhysicsExplained
      @GCSEPhysicsExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shaaravguha3760 on the triple paper, a question could be a 6 marker followed by a 3 marker, for example 3a = 6 marks, 3b = 3 marks, total for question 3 = 9 marks. Hope that helps

    • @GCSEPhysicsExplained

For example GHz was on paper 1 and didn’t know 1 billions Hz was in 1GHz and instead I did it as 1 million. Any weird units that could come tomorrrow so I can have a heads up? Thank you

    The majority of Paper 2 Triple physics is maths question based isnt it?

      @GCSEPhysicsExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually one third of the paper is calculations. There are other maths related questions such as graphs and tables. The rest are explanations. Good luck 👍🏻
