    In this first part of the tutorial you can find a bit more information on how to fix a broken icehockey stick. I got this hockeystick from a friend who told me this stick was unusable and that I could try to fix it. It was fixed with succes, and the stick is back where he belongs... on the ice! This tutorial should be quite easy to follow, It explains you step by step how everything is done! If you have further remarks or questions. Shoot in the comment section down below ;)

    Hi Brandon, the 'hair like stuff" like you call it are some carbonfiberstrands I cut into fine pieces...I use it to fill the gap up with some epoxy... you can compare it to applying bondo but in that case it's a thickened epoxy with carbon fiber ;) the hybrid (Carbon/Kevlar) is something you should be able to buy on most online composite-shops and so on. You can use regular epoxy for the blade (thats what I did ;) )

    Excellent repair. Can you share the type of epoxy (brand name) you recommend? I’d like specific details to make sure I buy the right kind.
    Thanks

    I reinforced it with Carbonfiber, Hybrid Carbon/Kevlar and some chopped CF... all of this with Epoxyresin those should be the strongest materials to use to reinforce it...

    HI there, loved the video! I got a couple question if you could answer that would be great!
    -What kind of apoxie did you use?
    -How and where did you get the fiber - glace shavings?
    -What grit of sandpaper
    -What is the patch you put at the end? (carbon and Kevlar) and what patch do you put on top of that one ?

    What is the black cloth-like piece that covers the carbon/kevlar piece?

    pretty sweet, what did you use to reinforce it? I have just made a homemade hockey blade and i attached it on with carbon fiber but do I have to use something to re enforce it?

    Hi Matthieu, what was the black hair like stuff you applied on the hockey blade at 4:18 ? Also where do you get the "hybrid" from at 6:38. Can I just use regular epoxy for the blade? Thanks

    Does it matter what epoxy resins you use?

    • @MatthieuLibeert
      @MatthieuLibeert  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The epoxy you use might have a little bit of influence on the behaviour, It might be better to have an epoxy that has a little bit of flex into it...you should ask your local shop whats best...I work with a brand I'm quit happy about giving me some good results...It would be some trial and error to get it perfect but any epoxy resin should do the trick
