    As a graduate of Morehouse College, we need HBCU’s more than ever. And Morris Brown was the epitome of HBCU’s at one point. Growing up I’ve always heard how popular the band was. Can’t wait until this institution is up and running again

    I absolutely love the respect all of you show the homeless people when you come across them. You don't disrespect anything of theirs in any way and when they show, you chat with them like they're old friends. Hats off to you all!

      I'm just thinking of how scary it would be staying in that homeless squat. Anybody/anything can get in, no security, no peace of mind. Lighting fires in an enclosed area to cook/stay warm. This really got to me. Just a couple hours ago I was all stressed because one of our security cams is glitchy. One cam, on a house that's secure, mine, well protected, where nobody can just walk in. It's my castle in a stand your ground/castle doctrine state I've got the legal right to protect my domicile with deadly force I've got clean water, central heating/AC, bathrooms, tons of food. I love my dogs and they live way better than this person. I'm a former medic and we treated homeless every shift. The cops rousted them constantly. Not cops fault, they have to enforce the laws of the municipality that pays them. It's just a huge reminder to be so thankful for what you have and to share with those that don't.

      @@milkapeismilky5464 Anyone, at any time, can become homeless. Do you have the money to survive if your home is taken out by fire? What about job security? Do you have a plan B? It's not about the camera's, dogs, or 19283091238 locks, it's about being respectful towards others as you never know when it could happen to you.

    Morris Brown never officially closed, they lost accreditation. Its been open, but with the accreditation issues, numbers dropped obviously. I think their recent graduating class had 20 or some students. They're getting accredited again soon however, so hopefully it will return to its full glory. Morris Brown played a significant roll in the culture of African-Americans in Atlanta and in the HBCU band world. They were known as one of the best bands in the country before they started having issues. I remember doing a performance there when I was in my high school band and wanted to attend MoB, but I had to go out of state. Long live Morris Brown

    What a beautiful college it was, it's a shame that they stole from it mismanaged it must cost a fortune to build for the pool, for the locker rooms, football field just wow, I never knew that they would do something like that, especially is famous all the way around, thank you for showing it to us, how pristine it was, I'm sure now they're going to gut it pull it apart for the pipes, copper, all the wiring basically making a mess, just the shame

    I remember when Morris Brown was going through that financial aid fraud mess. My gf at the time was a student. The people in charge of what happened surely messed up. Morris Brown used to be top HBCU. Sad it had to go thanks to the greed of the people in charge.

    Most homeless people are friendly and just like everybody else they love fast food so if you don't want to give them any money at least give them something to eat 😉

      My grandson's car was totalled in an accident. He had to use public transportation to go to and from work. He gave his last twenty dollars to a homeless man and called his father at home to come and pick him up. Only the good die young. RIP, TYLER.

      Most homeless people are mentally ill so one minute they are friendly the next not so much

    • @patsycav
      @patsycav 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chip2407 Sounds like the average person. How would you know if "most" homeless people are mentally ill. You would have to do research. Don't generalize and don't label or profile others. You are uninformed or maybe just prejudiced against those less fortunate than you. Rethink your perspective. Get the facts and figures, or go and live on the street for six months or a year, to find out how the cookie crumbles.
