That’s my uncle. He was a very happy man. You will always see him smiling. I never saw him angry or upset at anyone. He was always working, minding his own business. Those who murdered him will pay with the same price or more. Live by the sword and you will perish by the sword. I hope they will be found and brought to justice. Taking the life of a hardworking man who worked his ass off for his shit for a meager $700.00 catalytic converter, speaks volumes on the society we live on. Rest in Peace tio Tepa.

🚨 It definitely IS a sign of desperation/desperate times (for far too many in the USA). However, it is definitely NOT the victim’s fault. I wish he’d been away from home or unable to get to the door in time to even see the thieves. Things are scary out there…much scarier than they were pre-C19….even in Canada (where those two brothers lost their damned minds and ended SEVERAL lives…w/o even stealing from the victims). It’s pretty sad. Drugs - illegal and PhArma’s allopathic toxins , poverty and mental illnesses have messed people up and made a lot of us afraid to got to the cinema, grocery store, school, work…to the front door. 🚪

No councilwoman, you don’t need more taxpayer dollars going into managing these crimes on the back end after citizens are killed you need to address the root cause of these crimes. Why has Oakland become more dangerous than Kabul? Why are citizens not allowed their constitutional right to protect themselves, their families and their property? Why have thieves, gangs, etc. become so brazen with their lawlessness?

Oakland's law enforcement is at an all time low. Morale is so bad that their concerns and priorities have negatively affected their judgement and performance. Oakland's judicial system has created this unfortunate trend. Residents cannot get any constructive solutions. They are the real victims and if financially capable, they will get out of Oakland and escape this madness of lawlessness. When these criminals are released and never fully prosecuted they will continue to prey on innocent victims. Things are so disgusting that native Oakland residents won't want to admit that they live in Oakland. They will tell people they are from the Bay Area or Northern California. Defunding the police was a huge mistake and the political city leaders will never admit to their involvement that got this chaos so out of hand that there may never be a viable reversal or rectification in the near future.

So which Oakland are we talking about? This is a spike in activity, for sure, but where were you during the 2000-2010? What about the early 90s? What about the late 80s? I agree with arming yourselves and defending yourselves, but folks who’ve lived in the trenches for decades simply do not agree with the whole ‘it’s crazy these days’ attitude because folks have been defending themselves against thieves, muggers, and murderers, and they’ve been armed without CCWs. You can blame politics ‘the judicial system’ all you like, but Oakland Police and the corruption it brought was never truly nipped in the bud. If you think Oakland was ever a safe place to go for an evening walk, you must’ve grew up in Piedmont or Montclair. IMO

Let go of material things, they can Always be replaced, but a life cannot be. Just as his daughter asked; why take his life after you've already gotten what you were after. Sadly, that question can be asked after the majority of killings that we are seeing today, and is a very bad reflection of the times that we are living in here in 2022.

I've seen dozens of instances like this where these scumbags are shooting at people when confronted so it's safe to assume that all of them are armed. That means if somebody is armed and catches them in the act it's time to shoot first and ask questions later. That's seriously fucked up. They not only are costing people thousands of dollars to replace these converters they're willing to kill people who try to stop them.
