It’s not like ya get a lot of extra room but a little vestibule where you can shuck off your wet clothes and boots without dragging it all inside. Some shade when it’s sunny and a screen door to boot. It’s less than $60 so it’s not like it’s gonna break the bank. You can still stay stealthy when you need to and bring this out when you don’t. If my plans to get an element work out I will probably get one. It doesn’t take up enough room to worry about.
Just tried one of these with my wife. 1 thing I found is that there is a lot of noise and movement when going to sleep and the other person is already asleep. I feel like a table or even another tent may be needed to store all your stuff because if it's in the front and someone is sleeping then you'll have to close and open the doors and make more noise. Not 100% sold on this set up yet but it is cool.
Welcome to car camping!! 🤣 We experience the same thing in our travel trailer or even in a tent. When everyone is sharing the same sleeping space, there will always be disturbances to one another. I feel like that's just part of camping. For me, the best use of this tent will be for quick one person set ups on short overnight trips, where you just need a quick space to sleep. For gear, we will be utilizing 2 large bins on a hitch basket. One for gear, the other for food items. The biggest benefit here for me is being able to have a small tent in the back of my SUV for spontaneous camping trips.
@@utubetjc That is a great question and I wonder the same thing. We’ll just have to see when we get is a situation like that. Worst case, if a bad storm was coming. I would most likely pull the tent, close the gate or head out anyway.
So you can use your vehicle to deploy quick sleeping quarters off the ground and get air flow through the vehicle. This packs much smaller than a standard tent and sets up very quick.
I have family member in nearly constant pain. This would be great for country day trips with him being able to lie down as needed, me sitting under awning and enjoying a view. It gives us options. Just a thought. 😉
@@corbelius6 since a van will most likely have a different set up for doors, this will not likely work. I have a buddy with a van and he uses a roof top tent similar to this: amzn.to/3T7xcXH
Thanks for sharing but this is not an SUV tent. This is more of a SUV enclosure. We have a tent that hooks to the SUV and it is a true tent. But this one is an interesting alternative.
@@cyndyjohannsen1856 I totally get what you mean, especially since most of the structure is the vehicle itself. Really just a question of semantics, but I would say it does fall under the definition of a tent and it’s what the manufacturer calls it. Tent: “a collapsible shelter of fabric (such as nylon or canvas) stretched and sustained by poles and used for camping outdoors or as a temporary building” So many options these days. My buddy has cot that is a tent. Is it a cot or a tent ?🤯🤣 In all seriousness though, your feedback is greatly appreciated 🙏🏼😊
@@cyndyjohannsen1856 Totally, this tent wasn't what I was expecting as well. But I think it makes a great quick, minimal set up for an overnight stay and takes up very little space in my car. Happy Camping! 🏕😎
@@tradmanmike3360 Appreciate the feedback! The tent may not be for everyone, but it’s designed to keep things simple for those who value lightweight and quick setups. Glad you liked the magnets idea-thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
That would be the case for any SUV tent. However, this one is super easy to set up and take down. Really, only takes about 5 min. Which I feel is much less time than a traditional tent. For me, this is a great way for me to get in and out of a site pretty fast.
@@tradmanmike3360 It’s an alternative to a traditional tent that allows you to quickly convert the back of your SUV into a sleeping area with ventilation. It may not be for everyone, but it serves its purpose well.

This is exactly what I need!
Awesome, link is in the description. It's competitively priced 😊
I wonder how it performs during moderate wind and rain?

I would say it's more of a screen for the hatch. Nowhere near a tent.
I drive my car every day when I camp. So I would contantly have to be taking it down.

This design seems, just pointless! Maybe a dome, with see through side windows, IDK JMO
