I am working with Creo since 4.0 and I would say a lot of improvements in Cabling mode have been implemented but I can´t say that PTC has been done the same in the Piping mode. It seems a forgot mode in Creo.
He is right man. Most people use AutoCAD plant 3D instead. I think Creo is more into engineering the components rather than just viewing/drafting like Plant 3D.
Yup, Piping in Creo is just not in demand like Cabling. (Same with DAO.) But if there are improvements you want, your best bet is to submit enhancement requests and join a Technical Committee. I've heard Paul Sagar explain numerous times at conferences how PTC chooses what enhancements to invest in, and it's highly dependent on demand, market differentiators, ability, and resources.
