Finally something simple! I have horrible thick hair, it's so thick that I go through three hair bands, and over a half hour just to put it in a pony tail (I'd I've broken three brushes in two months) but I Love my hair up, so this is perfect for me!

It looks great, but my hair is much longer (it covers up about 3/4 of my back when it's down) and when I tuck my hair under the band it just slips out on the other side and looks bad.. What would you advise?

these types of hair bands never stay in my hair due to it being so smooth and silky. Fastening with pins makes no difference at all unfortunately. Lovely style though, reminds me of Princess Jasmine's hair.

I will suggest first: securing the headband on the top of your head Second: try braiding the ends of the hair it will make it easier to control the hair + less volume I guess =)

This is my fav updo when running late! I start with bed hair and my bed hair is bad bed hair and I just follow these steps and I get loads and loads of comments about how great it is and the best part is after wearing it like that all day when I take it out it looks like I've curled it ! added bonus!!!!! This is a very nice look but not for everybody. You have the right head shape to keep a headband on your head so far back and so loose like that. If your head is flat on the top, you can't keep it on. Trust me, i know.

I love this style but have waist length hair and am having trouble getting it to stay in place and not pull the headband off. Any suggestions for someone with much longer and heavier hair?
It is actually not practical, I saw another tutorial video of this hairstyle last year and recreated it, the do didn't last 2 hours because the band kept moving .. Never did it again !!!
