If SNES samples oftentimes had to be single cycles of waves, I guess it would have been much easier to put _this_ on the SNES, no? It (probably) even fits within the channel limitations.
@@SuperJet_Spade hey there friend. I'm working on a cover that would be using the n163 chip to some degree. Since the famitracker wiki is down for now, I haven't found many tutorials on how to use the n163 chip. What exactly does ctrl+shift+m do?
@@nathanlawrence2484 It's been a while since I last used FamiTracker and any of its forks, but if I remember correctly, Control+Shift+M enables and disables the Namco 163 hissing sound in 0CC-FamiTracker, j0CC-FamiTracker, and Dn-FamiTracker that use more than 6 channels. I believe this feature doesn't exist in vanilla FamiTracker, but I might be wrong.
@@SuperJet_Spade firstly thank you for getting back to me on an old video Second ill have to check that because quite a few vanilla tracks that I have downloaded do not have excessive hissing and I suspect this is how they avoided it.

'Namco Moment' when you can edit the waveform
Now where is the NES DKC game?! Love it.
There's a bootleg version of it -> th-cam.com/video/Jj4Qaem44HE/w-d-xo.html
@@ObiTrev But the music on this bootleg sounds bad.
1:04 Love the aliasing from the second from top left channel.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I NEVER WANT TO LISTEN TO ANOTHER SOUND AGAIN
This is such a beautiful composition! How'd you remove that hissing sound?
0CC-FamiTracker and its forks have a feature that lets you disable the N163 hiss. It can be toggled on/off with Ctrl+Shift+M
@@SuperJet_Spade Wow, that's great! Finally, no more painful noises...
