    Dear Ameen Sir, thank you very much for uploading very informative LS Dyna related videos on your channel. I even wish to thank you for teaching us blast based simulation problem using CONWEP method. I was one of the viewers to request you to teach us such simulations. Now there is one more request. Can you please teach us how to use Initial_Volume_Fraction_Geomety card in LS DYNA?

    • @AmeenTopa

      There are two videos on blast load with CONWEP method.

    Excellent thank you so much, one doubt, can i give initial temperature like 200 deg to specimen, in operations like deep drawing or stretch forming, drilling etc..before the process starts,,

    • @AmeenTopa
      @AmeenTopa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Use boundary heat flux if you have a temperature flowing in to your specimen or use initial temperature set to assign an initial temperature.

    Hallo Herr Topa. Ich stelle meine Frage: With the IGES file I made I get a mesh of more than 31000 nodes for the drill bit. The program runs but it will take almost 11 days according to the LS-RUN. I have installed the LS-PrePost V4.7.17. My computer has 18 GB in RAM and the processor is i7 up to 4GHz 4-core. Is it possible to resize the mesh without having to restart from the beginning? Or should I delete the current mesh of the tool and import again the IGES file to make again a coarser mesh but keeping the Tool name in order not to lose the relationships? Thanks in advance.

    • @AmeenTopa
      @AmeenTopa  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, you need to remesh from the start using the iges file again. There is no other way to do it.
      For the drill bit, it is common to model it as RIGID part. This will save the computational time..

    Please make a tutorial on friction analysis in LS dyna it is not available on TH-cam and i required same. So please make tutorial for friction and vibration analysis.
    And inform me for the same if you will proceed and up to when you will post that video.

      The drilling part should be Rigid because you are applying Prescribed RIGID motion.
      If you want your drilling bit to be deformable, then you need to use Prescribed motion SET
