The world is painful and unfortunate and scary, but we were bestowed with the right to choose how to deal with it, and how to help others deal with it. Everybody is born with the right to be themselves, and through protecting that right in others as well we can find purpose and face the unchanging, flaws and all. Because no matter how flawed it is, every moment that you are alive is a moment unique to you. Yhwach is the ultimate thematic obstacle in Bleach. He and what he represents both as an individual and as a concept counter Ichigo. Yhwach is someone who sustains himself through others. He requires conflict to survive and is built upon the people around him. The identity he had in the midst of that yearned for peace and righteousness, and in order to satiate that he tried to create a world of constant life so he could perennially exist. Despite his immense power Yhwach is a man afraid of death, and who cannot stand on his two feet. For that reason, he brings others down with reason and shackles himself to a perspective of righteousness, amplified by the Christian imagery associated with him. Interestingly enough however is the sheer evil (and parallels to Nazi-ism) Kubo makes regarding the Sternritter. This isn’t to critique christianity, but to show the sheer depravity and delusion of their worldview. The Quincies cannot accept that reality is multifaceted, and Yhwach physically and metaphorically cannot exist without tearing others down. He is an aberration disguised as a blessing, one whose life and purpose is rooted in others and trapped by primordial fear. The fear of death is an innate one, imbued in all mortals, and the attempt to deny it is simply escapism. That is exactly what the Quincies do however. They pervert their place in the world, treating themselves as ‘divine’ or as ‘miracles’ or as ‘concepts.’ In doing so they suppress their own insecurities and inflate their place in the world, and that is the greatest evil of all. Ichigo is a man who defined himself on his ability to save and to grasp the future, on his ability to shatter fate. What confronting Zangetsu teaches him is that shattering fate isn’t what defines him, and it shouldn’t be either. His will to protect came at the expense of his life’s value, and he struggled deeply in order to absolve himself of guilt. That manifested itself toxically through his hollow side and what that embodied for his psyche, and understanding the inseparable relationship between the two was what allowed Ichigo to grow and to fail. Both desires have their flaws and strengths, and both are fundamentally apart of him. The powers which took his mother’s life were deeply entwined in both sides, and simultaneously far greater than him. Up until that point the blade he had been wielding was not truly representative of who he fully was as a person, and was instead a collection of inherited features which he allowed to define him because of his external focus. This moment allowed him to turn that focus inward and realize that no powers or actions could define him…only himself. As beautiful as life is, it’s also important to recognize that it’s messy, unpredictable, and raw. As long as one has the strength to accept that no challenge is too great to be overcome. Clawing and walking forward even without constancy is the truest form of existence, even if one is branded a villain or made lonely, there is always something to strive for. Fear especially does not exist in a vacuum, and while it is tied to consciousness the way it manifests is unique to every person. That is what makes it special, and discovering and confronting one’s personal fears is a joy that the Quincies robbed themselves of. We can carve our own path by confiding in one another, and that trust is worth more than anything. That is the way that we can best live without regrets. As Nemu put it: growth can be achieved through protecting someone. The acts of protection and entrusting are the ultimate tests of free will, and the ultimate validation that we are alive. We can’t know how fate will test us or change us, and so by protecting and helping those close to us we can stay as true to ourselves as possible, and hopefully live a life without regrets.
I liked how Soifon put her Squad's intelligence to use and was there when no one else besides Mayuri knew of these disturbances. Just shows how effective she and her Squad can be and it's to be expected. We will see, I would hope the saga continues especially given the revelations in the hell chapter. They are too game changing to be left by the wayside.
I had this theory that Kubo was stockpiling for the past 10 years because he couldn't keep up weekly due to life and health. I think for Bleach 25 he'll start monthly or weekly releases for Bleach and/or Burn The Witch. Some of the art from Klub Outside looks like it's from a panel.
If Kubo is going to capitalize on the hell arc. He had to return to canonize his character’s power lvl. Depending on the success of the anime, Kubo might feel more motivated than ever. Even Narita hoped that Kubo would return himself to expand Bleach in the best way possible. Going as far as pleading Kubo that he should write about Urahara’s and Yoruichi’s past as a manga with his own hands. Which he does with the anime.

I'd assume it would have been because of how long the two had been leutenants prior to becoming captains. Rukia had only been a leutenant for maximum 17 months leading up to Ukitake's death. Isane has been Unohana's right hand for a long time. Rukia was probably a stronger captain candidate in terms of pure power level than Iba and Isane, since we never see either's bankai, but she's been a seated officer at all for less than two years.
Even with your video, some guys in the comments refuse to understand how good it was actually done and realised, this ending is a banger in so many levels. Several callbacks and symbolism all around. One thing was to have it back then when the final saga was clearly rushed, Kubo's health wasn't great and the manga seemed to end abruptly. After all these years people should've learned to give this a bit more of appreciation, people simply left a first impression to linger too long and don't let it go. Was it perfect? No, it's quite hard to pull a perfect ending in any media. But the ending overall is much better than Naruto's IMHO. Let's wait and see the best version of it in anime form, and maybe people will finally start appreciating it more.

Something just occurred to me watching your video: did Hiasgi's comments about his bankai 10 years after the Thousand Year Blood War contradict his having revealed his bankai in Can't Fear Your Own World against Hikone 6 months after the war?
Honestly no, the epilogue was nothing special nor outstanding. I'm not saying it was that bad, but leaving aside the unexplained and not showing what happened to all the characters (things that the anime will fix for sure), it was just the typical shonen happy ending, and at time it felt like Kubo was copying Kishimoto, since Naruto closed shortly before with a timeskip and the next gen (not a great finale either). I still think that, as type of finale, the bittersweet ending of the Arrancar saga was way way better as conclusion.

I'm still confused as to why it took Rukia ten years to be the captain of the 13th division. We know in WDKALY, Shunsui gave Rukia the thirteenth division robe at her wedding and we know Shunsui told her she can wear it when she's ready but why did it take that long. Is it because of her daughter?
I love TYBW, but the ending is not great. I don’t know how the fanbase feels about the ending but I bet a majority weren’t too pleased with it. So, to then go as far as to call it iconic is crazy. We don’t know the status of certain characters at the end: Urahara, Yoruichi, Kommamura, Ukitake (before no breathes from hell came out), and the remaining sternritter that we’re then told are alive in CFYOW. We aren’t shown the immediate aftermath of Ichigo killing Yhwach, how the world managed to stabilize itself, and the process/ just seeing the state of the new soul king. All these important characters that have come from different points in the series are here for this final battle and we don’t get much interaction between them. I love Bleach but let’s not act like the ending was great. DBZImran, you then say that “This is how a manga series should conclude” just after saying “While a lot of the fanbase think the anime was rushed…” Then obviously, the fanbase doesn’t think this is how a series should end.

So that means we'll be getting a prequel and then a prequel to that prequel that both take place within that ten years and not only mostly contradict each other but also mostly contradict the actual ending instead of the already set up easy sequel.
I can't believe that TYBW Cour 4 the final season's of my favourite anime Bleach's really coming! When it happened, the only thing I originally liked was that it was called "Death & Strawberry". But overtime, it grew on me.

Even with your video, some guys in the comments refuse to understand how good it was actually done and realised, this ending is a banger in so many levels. Several callbacks and symbolism all around.
One thing was to have it back then when the final saga was clearly rushed, Kubo's health wasn't great and the manga seemed to end abruptly. After all these years people should've learned to give this a bit more of appreciation, people simply left a first impression to linger too long and don't let it go.
Was it perfect? No, it's quite hard to pull a perfect ending in any media. But the ending overall is much better than Naruto's IMHO. Let's wait and see the best version of it in anime form, and maybe people will finally start appreciating it more.
I don't want to see anyone defending not showing ichigos bankai properly. I don't care if they have to show it through the kings vision of the future. I don't give a shit.

Honestly no, the epilogue was nothing special nor outstanding. I'm not saying it was that bad, but leaving aside the unexplained and not showing what happened to all the characters (things that the anime will fix for sure), it was just the typical shonen happy ending, and at time it felt like Kubo was copying Kishimoto, since Naruto closed shortly before with a timeskip and the next gen (not a great finale either).
I still think that, as type of finale, the bittersweet ending of the Arrancar saga was way way better as conclusion.

I'm still confused as to why it took Rukia ten years to be the captain of the 13th division. We know in WDKALY, Shunsui gave Rukia the thirteenth division robe at her wedding and we know Shunsui told her she can wear it when she's ready but why did it take that long. Is it because of her daughter?
I love TYBW, but the ending is not great. I don’t know how the fanbase feels about the ending but I bet a majority weren’t too pleased with it. So, to then go as far as to call it iconic is crazy.
We don’t know the status of certain characters at the end: Urahara, Yoruichi, Kommamura, Ukitake (before no breathes from hell came out), and the remaining sternritter that we’re then told are alive in CFYOW.
We aren’t shown the immediate aftermath of Ichigo killing Yhwach, how the world managed to stabilize itself, and the process/ just seeing the state of the new soul king. All these important characters that have come from different points in the series are here for this final battle and we don’t get much interaction between them.
I love Bleach but let’s not act like the ending was great. DBZImran, you then say that “This is how a manga series should conclude” just after saying “While a lot of the fanbase think the anime was rushed…” Then obviously, the fanbase doesn’t think this is how a series should end.
Reactions to the ending were not great and that is just me being nice. Majority of fandom didn't like it for many reason when last chapter was realised. It's a joke to call it great.

@@elaizakaguya4631 It’s not that I have a problem with the time skip, it’s that there should have been a bit more before the time skip, we don’t get to see the immediate aftermath of this battle that’s been brewing for a thousand years, the battle just ends, and we’re told “10 years later…” That’s where the problem is.

So that means we'll be getting a prequel and then a prequel to that prequel that both take place within that ten years and not only mostly contradict each other but also mostly contradict the actual ending instead of the already set up easy sequel.

I can't believe that TYBW Cour 4 the final season's of my favourite anime Bleach's really coming! But I would love to see that the story will still continue after that if Kubo's plan is Ichigo & Orihime will get married and have a child that would be the great end, but the new generation of Bleach.
