Great year so far doug hate you didnt make it to south boston more than once this year but have been following you every wear you race i got one of your older shirts and i wear it under my team shirt every week helping the 17 car at south boston in limited late model and it has brought us some luck because all we need to do is start the race this saturday and we win the championship keep up your good year u have going see you soon your bud michael

I think this way is better than the old competition index - where you had to be a mathematician to figure it out. You used to have tracks in the midwest starting pro stocks at the back of the Late Model feature to get to 25 cars to get the car count bonus of the CPI...but you also had a 12 car 4-week rolling point average inversion going against the southeast tracks that would run heads up from qualifying...the 2000 champ came from 12th starting spot every week. What you have now is a blend of both but the local tracks can still have input on how they line up the cars each week...2 points per car up to 16 plus bonus points for starting further back...

Can you explain why late models start and park? I know they did it in Cup for $, but what is the benefit at the local short track? Just to increase car count numbers for points?
Just started to follow you about a month ago. I prefer watching you and Landon Huffman vs Nascar. You are real and raw. There is no sugar coated nice guys manicured to make the public like you. But you are a nice guy lol. But it is real racing and real personalities. Love your channel and your racing style.

Hey I don’t blame for almost wrecking the 45 car I myself have been in the same situation with a kid who race me dirty and door slammed me for a 5th place finish and the next race I was going to wreck him in practice but I didn’t and hear later that week he blow a motor so karma is good and good luck air Douggie for the next race

Hell rubbing is racing if the shoe was on the outer foot you would have gotten the blame and hell just look what you have gotten to do that he couldn't and you did do win the big race with Dale Jr and some of the outer suspost to be ringers hell I've helped and seen some people that hasn't won that many races in two years
This question is for your spotter how do you give someone to much room above you? Doug you would be a much better driver and earn alot more respect if you didn't have someone in your ear constantly putting down other drivers and telling you to drive like a pissed off teenager who pinches people down or runs them up the track. So used to having the best equipment and daddy's money has turned you into what's wrong with racing today. Hate to tell you but every car on that track paid their entry fee to be there. Sorry but until someone don't give room , you should give each and every driver on the track the same respect as they give you. Pretty sure the car that was above you wasn't pinching you down or your spotter wouldn' t have said your giving him way to much room. Just remember you don't always have the superior car and when you don't those drivers who you ran up the track when you did, will remember it and not mind running into the back of you or running you like a pissed off teenager. I believe you could be a good driver but that spotter well let's just say he's like a anchor and will just hold you back in the long run.

You need 16 cars for a max field in terms of the nascar points. So realistically we only had like 11. So 5 we’re “start and parks”

Late August down here, everyone's tempers get short, fatigue especially if you are travelling. Take some time off. Points racing is way over rated.
