I Am African American. I was in Ghana last year 2023. The Ghanaian People We met were very kind. The African Americans Who conducted the tour group called Sankofa Tours, Prof. Obadele Kambon & his ma Mrs. Kambon were very mean & cruel. The woman if she sees you eating chicken, she will criticize you, if she sees you eating any type of meat, she will Criticize you, if she sees you drinking wine, she will Criticize you & she LOVES To SHOUT at adults. If you want to have Fun, do not go with them. The tour was supposed to last 12 days, My Daughters & I were only able to last for 2 days with them. From El Mina, they went to Kumasi and We went to Accra. With many major African cities, I wish they would plant many more trees in order for the trees to Absorb some of the Air Pollution. I want fresh Air to Breathe.
Sorry for the experience you had, there are many good tour companies in GHANA though. For the trees, its only Accra that doesn't have enough trees, the other regions do have that especially Eastern and Volta regions.
