- This is followup from the Base Building showcase. This mission drops a small team in the middle of the desert and you have to build 5 bases on each of the pavement areas and hold off the bug waves.
This scenario requires SICON Command Mod and Opt into Editor Beta to play, as it has custom units (Engineers construction).

Wish this was base game, building your bases and being able to fortify on some of the survival parts would have been amazing. Also would have added a lot of repayability
I was wondering, I got bored with the game pretty quickly and refunded it, but if this was part of it it would of been amazing
@@manemperorofmankind8119 Same here. Played about 1.5 hrs or so and refunded because most stuff in this game is either way too generic or simply not very well made.
Doing All kinds of Base Building is Such a great thing if you could do it on any Mission
Jeeze, “Accidentally calling in Danger Close” sure seems accurate for those Fleet Relays.

It was a nice accidental feature, but I felt it needed a warning label.

this might be a stupid question, but on the scicon mod, while playing the vannila missions, is it possible to build bunkers and/or machinegun towers for defense?
i can only see the vannila turret options.

Yes, the original campaign is unmodified in the latest versions.

Eversince I watched the movie as a kid and then the animations later on I always wondered why they didn't have any heavy armoured vehicles or even a alv with a powerful mounted machine gun/cannon to help the infantry. I understand that their suits turn them into a supersoldier but having tanks to give some support is still worth it no?

The book explains it better than the movie.
And they do have heavy machine guns, those are the tower-mounted weapons; the game also has laser cannons and flamethrowers. They're just not enough.
I suppose the MI in the film universe are more akin to shock troopers, light and mobile, drop in, shoot some bugs, and pull out if it gets too hot. Loading and unloading vehicles is time consuming, and would require either predetermined landing sites, in which case you risk losing expensive and heavy hardware on retreats, or small ultralight vehicles which dinae really offer much more over heavy weapons infantry teams, so why bother?
Logistics is a big part of war, and moving hundreds of ultra heavy armoured vehicles, and their fuel, spar parts, ammo etc is a lengthy and costly process.
Look at both DDay and its precursor opposite, Dunkirk.
On DDay you have to secure a beachhead, costing tens of thousands of men and hundreds of vehicles, ships and transports sunk, then you spend days securing the beach to land thousand of vehicles and tanks.
Suppose the Federation did land armoured vehicles and transports on Klendathu? Only to find the terrain unstable, losing hundreds of vehicles in bug sinkholes, and by the time the retreat order is given, you have a Dunkirk situation, where your hundreds/thousands of vehicles and equipment are left behind in the mad scramble to evacuate.
Moral of the story, Massive invasions of hostile enemy held territories with little to No on ground intelligence of Enemy strength or capabilities is not exactly a walk in the park, even if you know ahead of time what you’re walking into.
In the book, the infantry wore jumping combat space exoskeletons. Each infantryman is armed approximately like a tank company. Rockets, bombs, lasers, etc. The film changes the meaning and deliberately shows stupidity and parody. Including the fact that people are consumables for propaganda.
At the same time, the command is SPECIFICALLY shown to be complete idiots. Just remember how in the film TWO times the fleet lined up under plasma fire. There was nothing like that in the book. Therefore, the infantry of the future is a crowd of untrained children with a machine gun.
Can we build platform wall where we could place trooper in higher ground just like the fort in pacification mission or fort Meru?
Not yet, the elevation of the map is predetermined in the map file. We can only modify the units on top of the map. There may be ways in the future to simulate units entering buildings or even modify the map file mid-game. For now, we have not found a way.
@@Mosquito250 hi, why is the engineer no longer have the ability to build other than turret
The engineers can build all these structures, as seen in the video. You will need to be playing a mission that does not disable certain units (eg: the campaign restricts units per mission).
If you download the SICON Kwalasha Campaign .zip from the google drive, you can play the missions with all units unlocked. They will appear in the custom scenario section, not the original kwalasha missions section.

Hi just wanted to ask have any of you guys came across the issue where you have call in too many units and cant call in anymore just because you cant click on the unit's logo to call in on an LZ? if so, how did u guys deal with it?
Yes, it appears to have been one of the recent changes to the game. You can only have 20 units along the bottom bar, which makes it hard to control big armies. This will also affects other scenarios which have lots of units in the mission, but to a lesser degree as units will auto deploy to the connected drop sites.
I will have to rework the deployment system to use abilities, least until the Devs revise the unit bar again.
my friend, I play version v.2.1 (steam), it has this mod map available, but it doesn't give fences, it only allows welding 1 gun, not design any more items.
The current version of the mod works with the Steam Public release.
It no longer requires the Beta version of the game, since the Editor was released.
Along with installing the mod, you have to check if the map is restricting use of certain units. The original campaign does restrict units in the first half. Most of my missions don't restrict the use of unit types.

Looks awesome!! Looks like it gets pretty laggy after a while, any reason why?
The 4 offensives go to 1sec intervals around the 40min? mark. Laptop can't keep up while recording at the same time. It runs smoother when playing normal.
I'm considering removing that increase. I've had comments that my missions are a bit too challenging haha
I've moved it back to 60min before it starts for now. I'll see what the feedback is.

My Starship Trooper Terran Command is missing the base game! Only the Beta Game is there. I have tried deleting the Beta game but it still comes back, and, when I try to play the game, Steam sees that there is "content missing", and it downloads the game again before I can play it. After the download is complete, again the base game is missing.
After being bored with the base game, I successfully loaded and played Mosquito's SICON Command Mod and LOVED it. With the Mod, you can play every unit and it's capabilities and weapons are all unlocked. After a few weeks, the Mod stopped working and I could only play the base game. Ironically, when I tried to "fix" the problem, the base game files were missing and only the Beta game files were present. This is why I cannot play the SICON Command Mod anymore.
HOW DO I GET THE BASE GAME BACK so I can play the SICON Command Mod again?
I get the error message "SICON Command Mod Not Detected. This mission requires SICON Command Mod to work", and the game aborts by itself. Of course, I have the latest Strategically Integrated Coalition Of Nations (SICON) Command mod Version 2.8.0d. I tried deleting the game from Steam (and using the "Add/Remove" function on my Windows 10 PC) and even tried "Verifying the files" of the game in my Steam Library--but I get the same, "SICON Command Mod Not Detected. This mission requires SICON Command Mod to work" prompt. I also have the "Lava" DLC.
Besides buying a new computer, how can I get any of the (SICON) Command mods to work?
I have tested this mission today and it works for me using the base game v2.8.0 with SICON v2.8.0d.
Make sure you wait for the file verification to download and complete it's checks BEFORE you copy the SICON mod files into the game directory.

could You please explain - what units says? rad your dent/these??? I am not native English speaker and can't recognize that phrase. rad is slang for pretty cool as I know, but what means full phrase?

The only phrase I can hear that could sound like what you might be hearing is ‘Roger That”.; Which means ‘okay” or an acknowledgement of orders/suggestion.

If the stupid bugs didn't attack one group after another but all at once, they would win in 30 seconds.
How do I find your maps in the game?
First you need to opt into the Editor Beta through Steam.
Second download SICON Command if you wish to play this mission.
Then go to the google drive link in the description to download the missions. Extract the .zip inside the directory:

At the beginning the game seemed good but it is boring when you call 4 together or 3 and there are no constructions only repairs I thought it would be like warcraft and alien shotter.

How come you built big walls on the first garrison,, but then ignored them on all other garrisons,, and not installing gun towers behind them,, it would of made your life easier..

The minimum requirements are:
OS: 64-bit Windows 8/10
Processor: Intel Core i5 or equivalent
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce GTX 1050/ Radeon RX 560
The game is more CPU intensive than Graphics card. You can always buy it on Steam to see if it will run. If it doesn't, then you can refund it.
