    You are correct. "Just because someone invested in a 10 lakhs equipment does not make him an expert in photography". However, only a multi-billionaire type person can buy a 10 lakhs equipment without knowing the subject. But a normal/ordinary person (middle class like us), who learns photography step by step, and grows up with various levels of equipment step by step and finally go for a 10 lakhs equipment at a very advanced stage (perhaps after becoming professional), is definitely knowledgeable enough and experienced about the fundamentals.

    Sir. Removal of middle seat in the safari gypsy was blatantly refused to me by the drivers & guide at both Tadoba & Jim corbett despite offering them heavy cash. They refused to budge

      it depends on how many of you are there in the vehicle. If you are max 2, then it works. Also, you need to pre book your Gypsy and then get it done. When the vehicle gets allotted from the union, and if you ask them to get it done, they will not. That's why it is important to have your local contacts in each forest and they will get it done. All these I share in my courses of wildlife photography. Subscribe to it if you have still not done. And also when you participate in the SSP platform, you get all these tips at no cost.

    Do they make some sort of mounting system that you can attach your fluid head with a clamp mount to the vehicle bar?

    Mr Sudhir - wonderful video - I used one of the techniques you suggested during my Maraa trip. Would love to join you for a safari trip in India - do you have a proposed calendar for the next 6 months . Regards the fluid head - When i went to the Leofoto dealer here in DXB he suggested i buy the BV 20 rather than BV 15 - I understand BV 20 has better counter balance mechanism , but its also heavier - Would you still go with the BV 15 , may be because of smaller size & weight ?

    Nice video. You explained the basics very well. However, I have few points:
    1. Removing middle seat on safari jeep is not optional at most of the places. The owners do not agree. Perhaps a very handsome amount of tips may help. Then it is an expensive affair.
    2. The equipment that you have used in this video are exorbitantly expensive. A 400 mm F2.8 telephoto alone costs no less than 10 lakhs. Do you think that the person who would invest so much of money for one lens does not know the basics of taking sharp pictures?
    3. You have nicely explained how you can hold the lens using its tripod collar. But such a nice grip can be achieved only with a large collar, that means for a large lens. I use a Canon 300 mm F4 L lens, and it also has a tripod collar. But the collar shoe is so tiny that one cannot hold it properly the way you have showed.
    4. Finally, most of the beginners / enthusiasts do not have the expensive equipment. Most beginners shoot wildlife with 70-300 mm, or 100-400 mm basic quality (not-so-fast) lenses.
    I am very eager to know your valuable advice for those who use inexpensive equipment and cannot manage the removal of middle seat on a safari vehicle, but still passionate about getting some sharp pictures.

      1. That's wrong. We get it done at most of the parks and we pay the nominal fee to the forest department for fixing a Gypsy. You need to go with the right Gypsy driver.
      2. Just because someone invested in a 10 lakhs equipment does not make him an expert in photography. Everyone needs guidance and mentoring. My videos helps achieving that.
      3. You a replace the lens collar of any lens with a longer one.
      4. Well, if they use a small focal length, then there are other shooting techniques for that.
      Please do check other videos shared here in my channel and it has answers to your questions.

    Hi Sudhir, our leader said NOT to bring a tripod on our trip through rathambore. Are we not allowed to bring tripods there? Thanks.

    • @sudhirshivaramphotography
      @sudhirshivaramphotography  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are 4 in a vehicle, then you cannot use tripods in the vehicle. If you have got Jeep fixing done at an additional cost and you are the only person in the Jeep, then you can use it.
