I have the silky hair type and it often looks flat, always get Justin Beiber (I don't want that) hair comments. Worst part is for some reason I can only comb my hair to the right side, which is super annoying and doesn't give me a ton of styling options.

@@Ivan-kf8vv Bro, To tell the truth, no, but one thing that worked for me is to ask the barber to cut the ends of my hair by "fraying" instead of "straight".
Another thing that worked for me was trying different shampoos, I found a shampoo that leaves my hair better than before and depending on how I let it dry, it becomes very voluminous. One thing I would recommend is using a setting spray when you style your hair, it works very well compared to creams and gels.

I use hair styling powder. It's very light on hair. But it makes my hair dry.
I personally don't like facial hair on men but it really grew on me.

What type of hair product works best for this hair? I seem to keep getting hair products that are way to oily and weigh my hair down. Right now I am using a putty, but I think its making my hair to heavy. Or am I possible applying to much putty at once? Any tips or suggestions ?
Use hair powder. It's very lightweight so it doesn't weigh your hair down and it gives you a lot of texture aswell we volume. It is reworkable and can be easily washed out. I suggest slick gorilla hair powder
I use these 3 in 1 products to wash my hair like it’s in one bottle and it says it’s a shampoo, body wash and conditioner in one bottle

I'm a guy and I have a silky straight hair. I have an androgynous face so people sometimes mistake me for a girl. Since I'm asian I typically get the Levi hairstyle or Kpop hairstyle and if I fix my hair, I do a Two-Block or a Side-Part.

Honestly if I grew a long hairstyle I would definitely look like a girl at first glance, I'm Asian too.
I have super pin straight, silky but finer hair, and I found you basically you have to find a Barber/Stylist etc who will not razor or feather the ends to avoid that wispy look that makes your hair appear flat, cos that basically seems to take away the volume. They just cut it more blunt, but sorta work on the edges so they're not all one length as such, and that keeps volume. I guess most Barber/Stylists don't like to leave the ends so blunt, as they don't want you to leave with your hair looking 'Bowl-ish'.

I have hair exactly like this, i know many hairstyles that'll look good with this but most are with long hair. Problem is that schools here don't allow you to grow your hair longer than 3-4 inches

Hi. I have fine silky medium-long hair (like 5ish inches maybe. I like to part it down the middle and then raise up the front and sides so that my hair isn’t pressed to my head. Basically, I wet it, brush it all back, part it to the sides, and then add volume with product and heat. Here’s where the problem is: I can’t find a product that keeps my hair voluminous. It looks fantastic for like maybe 20 minutes before it’s collapsing and pressing itself against my head and makes me look like a mop. I’ve tried extra hold gels and hairsprays to try and keep the sides up. They don’t help at all. I really like how I look when my hair *is* lifted up so I really want to find some kind of product that works. What would you suggest? Thanks.

I've never had my hair problems and routine described exactly I have fine hair Naturally but I recommend a sea salt spray if you can't afird it you can make it at home via a TH-cam tatorial

who may struggle with flat hair always falling on eyes , just change your shampoo to a thickening shampoo who make your hair thick with volume , most shampoo are making your hair is too soft , so you gotta choose wisely

Yeah bro ive got that thick, soft, straight flat hair. I've been trying to avoid having my hair lay close to my head because no matter what it looks like a bowl, annnd i dont really want that. So im trying to have a midpart, maybe have wings. As of lately ive been washing my hair every day because of how oily it gets fast even tho ik the reason it is getting oily is because i wash it often. However im still in school right and it'd suck going in days at a time without washing it. Conditioner i use about once a week. Ive tried using pomade and even a bit of sea salt spray to help add a little bit of volume so it doesnt lay right flat againt my head but even that doesnt help a ton.
I have super silky type of hair and I never use conditioner, I sometimes used body gels to wash it so it won't be too smooth and tried to roughen it up
