ironically, i still need 13 pieces to a robot i bought 2 parts for in a machine in the USA back in the 80s. 15-in-1 robot (originally Microman related, but it was cast in ERASER-like monochromatic rubber/plastic)
Gotta love a good Surugaya rummage. Easily one of my favorite chains to find some excellent treasure Really looking forward to going by all the shops again when I go to Japan in December.
All that grief some months ago just to find one of those glow Godzilla skeletons sitting there! Such a cool video, would be such an inefficient way I might spend a visit to Japan, going to all these stores, but maaaaan so compelling.
@@TOKYOTOYBANZAI yeah, that's the name. I had a friend that grew up in Japan and he always raged about Kinnikuman, and i was like "That's MUSCLE"..same toy, different name.
I'm loving those shots of the city! Thanks for another great video, man. Glad you founds some goodies for yourself and your kid. By the way, is Tom and Jerry popular over there? I keep seeing Tom and Jerry stuff pop up here and there in your videos and in other toy hunt/store wandering videos from Japan.
@@TOKYOTOYBANZAI Yeah...For some reason, Tweetie's one of the most popular, even here in the states. I think it's all the "Tweetie's the cutest" marketing.
Yes, newer more elaborate HG Godzilla set with a larger Destoroyah and a “chase” to-scale Burning Godzilla (with one tiny Destoroyah part) that’s also Ultimate Luminous compatible.
Only a few months away from hitting up all the toy spots in Tokyo, including Tachikawa again :) Keep up the good content mate :) PS: Also driving around Gunma/Saitama hitting the big recycle shops along the way :)
It seems that a lot of parent's just dump excess toys here, even stuff from within the last few months. Tend to find loads of the latest Happy Meal toys, and recent shokugan figures in these bins. Plus loads of recent "Ichiban Kuji" lottery prizes, which always fill up some of them. I'm sure later this year there will be a lot more Geats stuff in there.
no, they just have a lot gashapon in the junk bins and wall racks. There are loads of other items there like large deluxe figures, action figures, plush, books, cards, dvds, and video games (etc).
Lol, Godzilla stuff is pricey these days. $70 is nothing compared to the Godzilla vinyls that sell for $200-$1,000 these days. But yeah, insane either way (Surugaya’s prices are hit an miss, a couple were actually good deals given todays market value, while a few were overpriced… so balances out I suppose).
@@TOKYOTOYBANZAI not here, at least i don't think so, in the USA. I have a few. I keep the OG Godzilla and a more modern one sitting on my shelf. I've loved Godzilla since i was a very small child and my daycare showed it on a reel-to-reel projector....and then showed it backwards, which was fun to watch Godzilla BUILD back the destroyed cities.
@@Scotty-Z70 Watching Godzilla build cities sounds like fun! Haha! You probabaly aren't familiar with Japanese vinyl toys. They get VERY expensive. Even more so outside of Japan. Try searching "Godzilla sofubi" on ebay or google.... the stuff by Bandai is the cheapest, with their new releases being around $20-$30... but that is the tip of the iceberg.
Japan is still very much wearing masks due to Covid, most of Asia still is actually. Supposedly the mask requirements will be relaxed this Spring. But, even BEFORE Covid, people in Japan tend to wear masks a lot, epescially during cold and flu seasons like winter. Just the way it is here.
@@TOKYOTOYBANZAI wow, that has to suck in the summer time. i mean, i get it, when i lived in colder areas i wore a scarf around my face to protect me from the cold air. ppl joked with me a few times that i looked like a terrorist because i was so bundled up. i hate cold. i live at the beach and it's totally better and warmer. check my videos, you may recognize some of the toys and then enjoy the beach videos on a cold day...just sit back and project the video to your big tv set and pretend you're on a warm beach
These are the type of videos I play in the background and love it. More soon hopefully 🤞
100% !!

i wish i could find Ultraman in junk bins!
wait, at 14:50 was that a MUSCLEMEN model kit???
yep - a recent series of gashapon articulated Kinnikuman (M.U.S.C.L.E) kits.

Very cool more please
But u have to wonder what's the thought process when they fill those bins.....guess that's half the fun?
Super satisfying
I'm very happy to hear that
Awesome content once again. Love these toys hunt vids from you. 👍👍👍

Thanks Mutt! And yes, Tom and Jerry is vdry popular here, although, sadly, Looney Toons is virtually unknown (except for Tweety Bird for some reason).

why were they selling Destroyah in parts? did they come that way in a Gashapon Machine?

Crayon shin shin!!!!
I see you eyeing the Gundam stuff. I wonder how hard to find Votoms stuff is?
The orange Hedorah 😍
Is there LEGO in japan second shop?
yep! there is!!
Where is the store located? Or what’s the mall’s name?
This shop is called Surugaya (there are several locations in Tokyo).

It was around 3,500 yen (about $30)
