In terms of sound, what is the value added by this product in your system. Let's say you use it with a tube preamp, what else is this device adding to the sound? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience!
Right now it's not adding a lot of value to the system, due to the fact that my system is tube heavy,it's main value would really come into effect with a heavy solid state system, which I have as well depending on my mood,I bought it really to put in front of my Sony 777ES solid state CD player, it's off and on depending on the setup, great product, great value, depending on set up and how you use it, Happy Listening.
Thank you I really appreciate your input. I currently have solid state yamaha components with R2R Dac and was wondering what is the expected result when adding a device like this one to my system. Keep the good work and many blessings to you!
I'm looking at this very unit--speaking with Dan for what I can do to give my Oppo 205 a little more oomph. Admittedly, I've been looking used for a while to see if someone wants to sell their Modwright Oppo for less than what would require a second mortgage on your house. You're kind of duplicating things with the modded Oppo now if you keeping the Analog Bridge... Want to sell the me the Oppo? :). Anyway, the stand-alone unit makes a lot of sense for Oppo users like us. I utilize all six channels from the Oppo (which has a great Sabre DAC) so I really don't want to have to get a separate two channel version. Finally, nice to see you have a Bryson--criminally overlooked in the audio world in my opinion. i have the BDP-3 and I'm still trying to get used to the quitky Manic Moose control itself, but the device itself just *oozes* quality. A BDA-3 was in my consideration but I want to avoid multiple multipie DACs just for 2ch side.
OPPO not for sale, I once had three dacs in my system, now I have two, and using the dac in the McIntosh 550 for the digital out on my Sony 777ES, also the Prima Luna EVO 100, on the side line is the Ps audio dig link 3,and a Conrad Johnson USB dac.
Pretty cool set-up! Keep it up👍
Thank you my friend, thanks for tuning in.
