This series actually took a drastic turn in the middle and from a happy comedy anime bacame a real emotional roller coster, it was like in the last few episodes there wasn't a single one in which we won't cry!!

Love flops starts off slow but agreed by ep 5 it starts picking up and you'll get invested imo. Not as good as the most well known sad rom coms like i want to eat your pancreas your name your lie in april and plastic memories but its still a good sad romcom worth looking at. Its also not on crunchy its on hidive. Was pissed when i found out i had to pay for another anime app subscription but love flops and eminence in shadow and chained soldier made it worth buying the subscription to hidive lol.

For the first few episodes he is in a virtual reality without knowing it and met 5 girls, they were made as his childhood friend who died, he didn't know that and thought the VR was real and he wake up after living in the VR for a month and reality feels like a dream.
It's hard to explain but basically he liked the 5 girls but they were not real and they got deleted by something (it's like a virus remover) and he thought he lost them forever but a friend made a body for the girls in real life and put their memory in the end and they live with the MC

Tbh it is not even a harem, but you need to watch the whole series to understand. Not a bad series at all, if you can go through the first episodes of disgusting weeb fantasies.
