I'm not big on maverick but it was kinda an interesting turn? even for noise it still had this tbz flair and good vocals that made it sound more structured than the average bg noise song. roar was the type of dark i expect from tbz tbh??? like a mature sultry version of reveal and it makes sense since they're all grown men now and have had darker bsides in the past with slower(?) cooler vibes rather than loud punchy noisy vibes like other bgs would do. I like that they still give room for brighter and softer sounds no matter the album tho like blah blah, c.o.d.e, bet on you etc.
also i know i can rely on them to do darker/mature sounds justice because they can do it all 🫂 thank you for prism, Russian roulette, toxic love, scar, saviour and door
i think hard was a miss step but don't call me was something only shinee could really give life and flavour too, a mature punchy sound i really liked it and some of the unexpected piano melodies were cool

i know i am incredibly biased, but what did you dislike about the HARD b-sides? all the bsides were very typical SHINee, with the exception of JUICE, but I find it very similar to trigger. like it, satellite, the feeling, and 10x could easily have been on the DCM album, and the other four songs felt like were scrapped from some of the members solo albums: (key - identity, taemin - sweet misery, minho - insomnia, onew - gravity) etc. idk, it felt very SHINee to me (sans the title ofc)

Hard does fit into shinees concept because shinees original concept is r&b and hip-hop so Hard does work as a title track but i sadly do agree 😔
