  • Global Parli is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to bringing Rural Economic Transformation by empowering farmers in rural areas with the knowledge, skills and resources that would help them increase their incomes, crop output and bring about overall prosperity in the field of agriculture.
    Through their ‘Proof of Concept,’ they have successfully achieved an increase in farmer incomes from the figure of Rs. 10-20000 per acre to over Rs. 2,00,000 per acre.
    In the past 4 years, they have managed to accomplish the following:
    2016 - supply 1.54 crore litre of water
    2017 - initiate 360-degree development including reforms in e-learning, health-care, increasing income, going towards less cash etc.
    2018 - create water capacity of 222 crore litre.
    2019 - planted 1.2 million fruit trees in Marathwada
    2020 - planted 2.0 million fruit trees in Maharashtra & Madhya Pradesh.
    2021 - planted 1 core fruit trees in Maharashtra & Madhya Pradesh.
    They have undertaken work in the following fields of operations:
    Forward linkages: They currently intend to promote the development of forward-linkage units, procurement centres, sort-pack-clean units, farm-to-consumer marketing, cold storage and ‘godowns’, processing units and post-harvest management.
    Replication: Our proof of concept is scalable and replicable across the nation and has the ability to raise farmer income. At present, they are trying to replicate this model across India. While the state of Madhya Pradesh has already begun its plantation journey, talks have been initiated for fruit plantations in Palghar and Ratnagiri (Maharashtra), Rae Bareli (Uttar Pradesh), Ariyalur (Tamil Nadu) and Bhavnagar (Gujarat).
    Institutionalization: They aim to work in collaboration with governments and international organizations to guide in the creation of policies and reforms. Previously, They have had reasonable discourse with important policy-makers such as the Union Agriculture Minister, Union Agricultural Secretary, ICAR Deputy Director and some other member in the Union Ministry as well.
