Thanks so much for all your efforts and support helping so many of us who learn all we know at home through your videos. I for one really appreciate your great skill and kindness to share. I have a question . I have tons of wire embellishments made from aluminum wire is it possible to tack solder them for deco only add ons to my glass pieces by foiling around attachment area?
Aw, that's kind of you Artsrock. You can't solder aluminium so unless you wrap part of it in copper foil and solder at that point, it won't work. It might be easier - and neater - to buy tinned copper wire. This takes solder like a dream :-)
How long does foil stay good ? I have some several years old which looks fine is it ok to use? Btw there is no info to be found concerning my question after searching TH-cam and google. Thanks for all your help!
It really depends on how it's been stored Artsrock. If it's been kept in a ziplock bag or similar and hasn't oxidised it will be fine. Have a go; you'll know as it'll have lost its stick. Fingers crossed.
I have a page on this here Linda: everythingstainedglass.com/stained-glass-tutorial . For detailed instructions with video and workbook of ALL the processes including polishing there is my beginner's online course Stained Glass Made Perfect here: www.everything-stained-glass-school.com/p/stained-glass-made-perfect-1

Please please do a video on polishing and waxing showing the products to use. As a beginner I haven’t been able to find this help x
