I love this story very much.I watch it over and over.I wonder who is the author of this story. It is really one of the best. The conflicts and perspective showed all the aspects of human love...the consequence of revenge...of greed and of selfishness...and how hard work,humility, truthfulness and loyalty, work wonders in man's life and make one resilient to cope and overcome trials.A wonderful unforgettable story.
She literally stole her best’s boyfriend. The worst. I won’t give away the spoiler but she is not the mistress nor is she friend. She coveted someone else’s relationship. Jeez, I’ve seen this drama multiple times. It’s really good without the misleading clip title.
Li Dong is so very sweet and kind, it’s a shame it didn’t work out with them. But why couldn’t the writers at least have Li Dong meet someone else while he was away….why do these guys/gals who are left behind in these series never get a second chance of loving someone…❤
The best part in this series and the most ppowerful is UNCLE LI boxing 13:30 - 18:00. i wish we had a better closing for this character expecially with the sister - his role was oustanding and he was not given the spot lights as he deserves
Siyu knew he didn't love her and that he loved Meiya. And she called herself Meiya's friend but happily, I mean happily threw that over to get to him. The way she treated and belittled Meiya, always trying to make it appear she wasn't treating her as if she thought she was inferior, was sickening. I was glad when he threw Siyu over. And anytime a person says they 'tried' to like/love you, it's very telling.
I do not think Siyu really loved Ou Yang. She never gave him time and space to heal from the pain of losing Lin Meiya. And she acted as if she had won some prize when her and Ou Yang were together. And she never missed an opportunity to rub it in LIn Meiya's face that she was engaged to her boyfriend. Perhaps she was always jealous of Lin Meiya and she was jealous of Ou Yang's devotion to Lin Meiya and wanted it for herself. No matter what the cost. In contrast Li Dong loved Meiya before Ou Yang did and he did not try to break up their relationship because he knew they were in love.
@florencemuganda6005 I agree. There was a LOT of jealousy on Siyu's part. She couldn't figure out how Lin Meiya eon someone lije Ou Yang and needed to feel superior. It must suck to go through life so insecure that you can't stand for others to be happy.

He could've chosen anyone else, why agree to try a relationship with someone Lin Meiya had considered a friend. But there was so juch satisfaction when he found out Lin Meiya wasn't he sister. He threw Siyu over with a quickness. Icing on the cake was him saying he really 'tried' with her because if he had to work that hard at being with her that is so embarrassing...it's like he was force feeding himself.
Ouyang is a real gentleman. He dismissed Siyu with kind words not like Lin meiya ex boyfriend. His true colors came out as an abuser. I just keep watching it

I must admit I ended up loving Wei wei she was just so sweet and adorable, she was very rude in the beginning due to never being reprimanded when out of line and being spoilt…but after a few run ins it was Li Dong who put her in the right road. They ended up being there for each other….
Siyu was already scum to me, there is a special spot in hell for so called friends that intentionally go after other peoples partner. The fact that the only thing she cares about is herself, is shown perfectly when he breaks up with her, she begs him and would happily try to force him to be unhappily with her, so long as she is happy. She is scum. I hate that Meiya allows the friendship at the end. She doesnt deserve it.
Girls like that have been raised by selfish, indulgent parents who teach them that they are a "princess" and can have anything they want. So they grow up expecting everyone to give them whatever they want, no matter who gets hurt, because only their feelings matter. She's immature and a narcissist because of how she's been spoiled all her life. Childish girls like this never take responsibility for their actions, because their parents have never taught them to be decent adults.

I still don’t recall the “mistress” ever coming clean about the incident in the Hotel- how the ML never actually slept with her. She was the FL best friend as in the FL literally treated this girl like family and what does this “best friend” do?? She seeks out the ML the day the ML and FL break engagement, comes up with a shady play, then goes to the Hospital where the FL has been technically living at since her father is there and tells the FL she is with and engaged to the ML. Then later in season bia really be thinking that things can go back to how they were, no. She shouldn’t of even took the ML back let alone meet the “best friend” Look, the FL should’ve ended up the SML and I will continue to blame the FL newly found “sister” and sister friend for this cause the moment that friend seek the FL and asked her to give the SML to her sister with a sob story as if it’s the FL fault that sister life was that way was the moment the FL will no longer look at the SML in any romantic way although the SML loved the FL but they ruined her giving it a shot. The more times I watched this series the more I realized everyone in this drama, other than the FL father and SML, treated the FL horribly- everyone let her down, everyone took from her, everyone hurt in some way. I still feel for the FL and I’ll continue to imagine her happy with the SML.
The best friend did not regard the female lead's emotions at all Asking for them to be friends again without even giving her friend time to heal. In my opinion Li WeiWei was much more loyal to her once they became friends. .

Seen this several times...not the whole drama everytime,but clips and some episodes...and you are right with your observation,and that's my observation too...though,this is a good drama,but some scenes are just fillers and cringey...Anyway,I just love the unconditional love of Meiya's adoptive father and Uncle Li...this drama denotes that there are still good people out there,and the world is not so messed up.
