Hey Philly Captain, fantastic video & history tour in Olde City Phila..Enjoy & Tootles..
Great history tour! I’ve only seen you at games with Adam the Woo ( love your intro like his: Shall you?). But I’m a history nerd and now have to binge watch your channel! Thanks😊
Great historical Society Hill and Old City Philadelphia scoot
I'm impressed! I live in Germantown and have never visited St. Peters. Yes, do a video of Germantown.
Way to go Captain !!!!……I love your history lessons.
I was at the mint today in Philadelphia too
That was a really interesting video, Captain. I enjoyed it.
It would be great if all of Philadelphia was like that.
I shall join you.😂😂
You walked by my house! This was a fun video for me since I live in the area. Too bad I didn't see you. I would have loved to have talked with you.
This is fun!
In loving memory of Jackie Van Lint. My mom's Facebook friend from the Netherlands.
Dallas,PA is also named after George M. Dallas. He is also a Right Worshipful Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, Free & Accepted Masons.
Did he migrate to Texas?
The American Philosophical Society building and the Bank Building in Old City are interesting buildings. In my line of work about 20 years ago I had access to the brick catacombs beneath. Mostly gas and utility tunnels now, but the APS building had a large kitchen in the basement for serving meetings. One can only imagine what was going on there 200 years ago. Some tunnels are bricked off. The APS building also has large rooms upstairs where sensitive documents are kept climate-controlled and made available for research purposes. Many "old" buildings in Philly have similar secrets that most people will never know about.
Thanx 4 Another Exiting Video...Keep -Up The Good Work...Hello From West Michigan...
Great Scoot , please show Old Sweedes Church on Christian st , many Revolutionary soldiers buried there
Thanks awesome city
In Lackawaxen Pa next to the Zane Gray museum is a tomb of a unknown revolutionary war soldier killed by the tories in the battle of Minisink
Always keep your boots clean and remember she was only the farmer's daughter, but all-the-horsemen-knew-her. Dolly Madison was an amazing, busy woman, when did she ever find time to make those tempting, delicious little snack cakes...
HEY CAPTAIN GREAT ADAM THE WOO REFERENCE AND GO BIRDS
Yo Captain, can i write a book report?
How about a scoot ride in Roxborough i haven't been back there since the early 80's
Philly does a much better job at historical preservation then Trenton that's for sure.
Captain great video but St Peter s graveyard , one of most famous people in there you went past. Navy Officer Stephen Decatur, the Hero of the Barbary war against the Pirates in early 1800s , sent by Jefferson to combat Pirates in Tripoli along with his brother and Capt Banbridge. [Bainbridge st] , S Decatur later was killed in a Duel.
Every time he says Dolly Madison I want a snack cake.
Yup
Lot of residents don't know about these cut thrus.
In de Cut Cuz!
Very under rated park area.
Also patrolled by the national park service.
They play less games with Riff raff and nitwit behavior.
Well, there's a graveyard in Lafayette Hill, St. Peter's Lutheran Churchyard, where at least one Revolutionary War veteran is buried. The interred just so happens to be my great great great great grandfather...
My friend you may be putting some poor struggling tour guide out of work. On the other hand you might inspire people to actually visit our fare city.
I have a challenge for you. Can you find China Lane? It runs into Frankford Avenue near Church Street.
Second clue: There was a musty museum atop the lane.😊
Who cleans the boot scrapers ?...lol
As an eagles fan from Wisconsin this video was great man!
🇺🇦🎗🌹🇮🇱
Blatant copyright infringement in the opening lol
I shalt.
Captain, J Kimmel had your clip on his monologue the other day! 😀
Most / all parks in Philadelphia are mass graves!
Wow
Don’t worry Woo is out of the country.
Hey Dallas who’s your daddy
Love the historical scoots…looking forward to Germantown/Mt. Airy/Chestnut Hill !
